Fenster mit elektromagnetischer und akustischer AbschirmungWindows with electromagnetic and acoustic shielding
The invention relates to a window with electromagnetic and acoustic shielding 2 for insertion into a wall having an electromagnetic shielding to achieve a tap-proof fluff with a first pane having a gold vapor deposition on its inside.
In industry, research institutes, embassies and similar institutions, there is an increasing need for electromagnetic and acoustically shielded rooms. Industrial and industrial espionage are the relevant keywords. You need rooms in which you can talk at normal volume and hold meetings without the risk that these conversations will have unwanted listeners. These can point highly sensitive passive and also active directional microphones from the outside to the windows of such rooms. You can also smuggle a miniature transmitter, a so-called Wan2e, into such a room and place it there undetected. Electromagnetic shielding is also required for rooms in which computer systems, computers, electrical controls for industrial systems, etc. are housed. Such EDP systems, computers, controls, etc. may emit electromagnetic vibrations with considerable field strength. These act as interference fields in the area. There they not only impair radio reception, but can also lead to faulty controls if they affect other circuits through induction and the like. The emission of such interference fields must be prevented.
Electromagnetic shielding of rooms is known. For this purpose, the wall is covered with a metal foil, a metal wire mesh or the like and this is connected to ground or earth. This turns the room into a Faraday's cage. This is an electromagnetically closed space. Electromagnetic radiation can neither leak nor penetrate. Miniature transmitters smuggled into such a room become ineffective. This well-known electromagnetic shielding of rooms is, however, “2” restricted to windowless rooms. It is not possible to pull the metal foil used for shielding, the metal wire mesh or the like, which lies under the wallpaper or the wall paint, over the window surfaces 2U. In addition to the fact that this affects the aesthetic impression of the room and also prevents opening and closing of the window, there is the further disadvantage that the unwanted eavesdropper then recognizes the electrical shielding of the room. This should be kept as long as possible in the belief that the room is not protected and that he can follow the conversations held there via the miniature transmitter he brought in.
Proceeding from this, the object of the present invention is to create a window for such rooms which offers electromagnetic shielding and thus fits into the electromagnetic shielding of the wall surfaces of the room and closes it. At the same time, the window should also shield acoustically and switch off listening in via directional microphones. Disks that are coated with gold on one side are known. They are generally used to dampen long-wave heat rays. Using such a disk with gold vapor deposition, the stated object is achieved by the invention in that at least a first further disk covered with a metal wire mesh is placed on the inside of the first disk with gold vapor deposition, and the gold vapor deposition and the metal wire mesh are metallic with the electromagnetic one Shielding the wall are connected. This closes the electromagnetic shielding present in the wall surfaces of the room without impairing the window function. The gold vapor deposition hardly affects the transparency of the window. The same applies to the metal wire mesh. The wire thickness can be chosen so small and the mesh size so large that the necessary electromagnetic shielding properties can be achieved without significantly impairing the optical transparency. The metallic connection of the gold vapor deposition and the metal wire mesh to the already existing electromagnetic shielding of the wall closes the wall and creates a self-contained Faraday cage.

Within the framework of this basic idea, numerous configurations are available. They essentially depend on the transmission frequency and transmission strength of the miniature transmitter, the probable distance at which the associated presumed receiver is located, etc. Some possible configurations are mentioned below and form the subject of subclaims.
In a first expedient embodiment, which essentially increases the mechanical strength and resistance, it is provided that the first further disk consists of two individual disks and the metal wire mesh is held or clamped between them. The metal wire mesh can be enclosed or melted into a plastic foil or, in other words, it is a transparent plastic foil with an inserted metal wire mesh. This metal wire mesh is also metallically connected to the electromagnetic shielding of the wall.
In a further embodiment it is provided that a pane consisting exclusively of glass or plastic lies between the first and the first further pane or is placed on the inside of the pane having the gold vapor deposition. This disc is not used for electromagnetic shielding. Its mass alone dampens acoustic vibrations and therefore acoustically shields the room.
In a further expedient embodiment, which is used in the case of suspected high transmission powers of the miniature transmitters, a second further disk, consisting of two individual disks and containing a metal wire mesh between them, is placed on the inside of the first further disk. Here, too, the metal wire mesh is metallically connected to the shielding of the room. It depends on the individual case, i.e. the expected frequency range of the miniature transmitter, in which calculated distance the two metal wire meshes are arranged from each other, which mesh size they receive, whether the mesh sizes are calculated the same or different, etc.

The metallic or electrical connection of the gold vapor deposition to the shielding of the room is expediently carried out in that a metal foil strip on the inside of the first disk having the gold vapor deposition rests on the edge of which is still under the gold vapor deposition or is applied before the vapor deposition, so that the narrow sides of this disc rests and is soldered to the shield of the wall. Similarly, for the electrical connection of the metal wire mesh, it is recommended that a metal foil strip with these be in electrically conductive contact, folded over around the edge of the relevant pane and soldered to the shielding of the wall.
It was stated that a pane consisting exclusively of glass or plastic is provided and is used for acoustic damping. This damping is increased if this pane, which consists exclusively of glass or plastic, is held in a further expedient embodiment with a mutual spacing and thus air cushions on both sides between the first and the first further pane.
The invention places no special requirements on the physical nature of the metal wire mesh. However, it is recommended that the metal wire mesh consist of metal wire with high electrical conductivity and a non-reflecting surface. It has already been mentioned that the mesh size of the metal wire mesh fluctuates within wide limits and is calculated in individual cases. A meshwork of 2 should now be mentioned as an indication of the order of magnitude.
In der Zeichnung ist:Using the example of the embodiment shown in the drawing, the invention will now bes chrleben. In the drawing is:

They consist of the individual disks 18 and 20. The disc 28, which is made exclusively of glass or transparent plastic, lies between two spacers 30. Air cushions 32 are accordingly formed on both sides. Metal foil strips 34 lie against the gold vapor deposition 22 and the metal wire mesh 24. You can be soldered to them. They are further folded over the end faces of the associated panes. In a manner not shown in the drawing, they are electrically connected to the shield of the wall, for example soldered to it. The shielding of the wall itself is shown in simplified form as a ground connection 36.
When looking at FIGS. 1 and 2, it is clear that radiation emanating from a transmitter on the inside of the window cannot pass through the window. The radiation is intercepted by the two metal wire meshes 24 and the gold vapor deposition 22 and diverted to the ground connection 36. Acoustic vibrations are dampened by the individual disks and in particular the disk 28.
The illustration in FIGS. 1 and 2 is not to be regarded as true to scale for the individual disks. The discs and the air cushions can have different thicknesses. In particular, the plastic films 26 are also drawn too thick. Likewise, a metal wire mesh 24 with the two disks 18 and 20 enclosing it can also be omitted or additionally added. The order of the disks can also be changed. The disk 28 can be arranged entirely on the inside or between the two further disks 14 and 16.
