- 서로 대향하는 단면을 구비하고, 한 쪽 단면으로부터 입사된 빛을 혼합시켜 다른 쪽 단면까지 안내하여 출사하는 광가이드기능을 갖는 광가이드수단; 및이 광가이드수단의 한 쪽 단면측에서 복수의 광원이 면형상으로 배치된 상기 광가이드수단과는 별개의 광원어레이;를 포함하여 이루어지는 것을 특징으로 하는 광원장치.
- 복수의 광원이 면형상으로 배치된 광원어레이; 및이 광원어레이로부터의 빛을 적어도 일단측으로부터 입사시키고 혼합하여 다른 단면측에 안내하여 출사시키는 광가이드수단;을 각각 별개로 구비하여 이루어지는 것을 특징으로 하는 광원장치.
- 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서, 상기 광가이드수단에 있어서, 상기 광원어레이측으로부터 빛이 입사하는 단면의 외형과 빛이 출사하는 단면의 외형이 실질적으로 동일한 것을 특징으로 하는 광원장치.
- 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서, 상기 광원이 단색발광의 발광소자인 것을 특징으로 하는 광원장치.

- 제6항에 있어서, 상기 반사면이 복수의 평탄한 반사면으로 구성되고, 상기 광가이드체가 다각기둥형상을 갖는 것을 특징으로 하는 광원장치.
- 제6항에 있어서, 상기 반사면이 곡면으로 구성되어 이루어지는 것을 특징으로 하는 광원장치.
- 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서, 상기 광가이드수단에 있어서의 빛이 출사하는 단면의 외형과 상기 출사된 빛이 조사되는 피조명체의 광조사면의 외형이 실질적으로 동일한 것을 특징으로 하는 광원장치.

- 제17항에 있어서, 상기 광가이드수단에 있어서의 빛이 출사하는 단면의 외형면적이, 상기 액정표시소자의 표시면의 외형면적과 실질적으로 동일한 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
- 광반사성을 구비한 내벽을 가지며, 광가이드로를 구성하도록, 중공형상으로 형성된 광가이드수단으로서의 광가이드로 블록; 및이 광가이드로 블록의 한 쪽 단면에 대향하여 상기 광가이드로로 빛을 입사시켜 혼합하여 상기 광가이드 블록의 다른 쪽 단면으로 출사할 수 있도록 복수의 광원이 면형상으로 배치된 광원어레이;를 포함하여 이루어지는 것을 특징으로 하는 광원장치.
- 제21항에 있어서, 상기 광가이드로 블록은, 상기 내벽이 복수의 평탄한 반사면으로 구성된 다각기둥형상을 갖는 것을 특징으로 하는 광원장치.
- 제21항에 있어서, 상기 광가이드로 블록은, 상기 내벽이 곡면으로 구성된 원기둥형상을 갖는 것을 특징으로 하는 광원장치.
- 제21항에 있어서, 상기 광가이드로 블록은, 상기 광원어레이가 배치된 측의 단면, 상기 광원어레이가 설치된 단면과 대향하는 빛을 출사하는 단면, 및 광반사성을 구비한 내벽에 대응하는 4개의 측면으로 구성된 사각기둥형상을 갖는 것을 특징으로 하는 광원장치.
- 제21항 내지 제24항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 상기 광원이 발광다이오드인 것을 특징으로 하는 광원장치.
- 제21항 내지 제24항 중 어느 한 항에 기재된 광원장치; 및상기 광가이드로 블록의 빛이 출사하는 단면에 대향하여 배치되고, 이 광가이드로 블록으로부터의 빛을 변조하는 부재;를 포함하여 이루어지는 것을 특징으로 하는 광학장치.
- 제26항에 있어서, 상기 광가이드로 블록에 있어서의 빛이 출사하는 단면의 외형면적이, 이 광가이드로 블록으로부터의 빛을 변조하는 부재의 광조사면의 외형면적과 실질적으로 동일한 크기인 것을 특징으로 하는 광학장치.
- 제21항 내지 제24항 중 어느 한 항에 기재된 광원장치를 구비한 액정표시장치로서,상기 광가이드로 블록의 빛이 출사하는 단면에 대향하여 배치되고, 이 광가이드로 블록으로부터 출사된 빛을 변조할 수 있도록 구성된 액정표시소자를 더 구비하고, 이 액정표시소자의 광출사측으로부터 화상을 직시할 수 있도록 구성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
- 제21항 내지 제24항 중 어느 한 항에 기재된 광원장치를 구비한 액정표시장치로서,상기 광가이드로 블록의 다른 쪽 단면에 대향하여 배치되고, 이 광가이드로 블록으로부터 출사된 빛을 변조할 수 있도록 구성된 액정표시소자; 및이 액정표시소자에 의해 광변조된 출사광의 광로상에 배치된 확대렌즈;를 포함하여 이루어지는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
- 제29항에 있어서, 상기 확대렌즈에 의해 상기 액정표시소자의 상을 투영할 수 있도록 구성된 스크린을 더 구비하는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
- 제1항 또는 제2항, 제21항 내지 제24항 중 어느 한 항에 기재된 광원장치를 복수 구비한 액정표시장치로서, 상기 광원장치는 각 원색의 파장영역의 빛을 출사할 수 있도록 구성되는 것이고,상기 광원장치와, 상기 광가이드수단의 빛이 출사하는 단면에 대향하여 배치되고 상기 광가이드로로부터 출사된 빛을 변조할 수 있도록 구성된 액정표시소자로 이루어지는 특정 색변조유닛을 원색에 대응시켜 구비하고, 각 특정 색변조유닛으로부터 출사된 빛을 합성할 수 있도록 구성된 색합성수단; 및이 색합성수단에 의해 합성된 출사광의 광로상에 배치된 투사렌즈;를 포함하여 이루어지는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
- 제1항 또는 제2항, 제21항 내지 제24항 중 어느 한 항에 기재된 광원장치를 복수 구비한 액정표시장치로서, 이 광원장치가 백색광을 출사하는 것이고,상기 광원장치와, 상기 광가이드수단의 빛이 출사하는 단면에 대향하여 배치되고 상기 광가이드로로부터 출사된 빛을 변조하는 액정표시소자, 및 각 원색의 파장영역의 빛을 투과할 수 있도록 구성된 필터로 이루어지는 특정 색변조유닛을 원색에 대응시켜 구비하고, 각 특정 색변조유닛으로부터 출사된 빛을 합성할 수 있도록 구성된 색합성수단; 및이 색합성수단에 의해 합성된 출사광의 광로상에 배치된 투사렌즈;를 포함하여 이루어지는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
- 제31항에 있어서, 상기 색합성수단이 다이크로익 프리즘인 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
- 각각 삼원색광을 발광하는 복수의 발광소자가 면형상으로 배치된 광원어레이; 및이 광원어레이와는 별개로, 상기 광원어레이로부터의 빛을 일단면으로부터 입사시켜 혼합하여 다른 단면측으로 도입하는 광가이드체;를 포함하여 이루어지는 것을 특징으로 하는 광원장치.
- 제34항에 있어서, 각 색을 발광하는 발광소자를 동시 또는 순차적으로 점등하는 회로가 설치되는 것을 특징으로 하는 광원장치.
- 단색광을 발광하는 복수의 발광소자가 면형상으로 배치된 광원어레이; 및이 광원어레이로부터의 빛을 일단면으로부터 입사시켜 혼합하여 다른 단면측으로 도입하는 광가이드체;를 구비하고,이 광가이드체의 입사면 또는 출사면에 대향하여 배치되어, 상기 단색광을 백색광으로 변환하는 형광필름을 더 포함하여 이루어지는 것을 특징으로 하는 광원장치.
- 제34항 내지 제36항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 상기 광원어레이와 상기 광가이드수단 사이에 공기층이 배치되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 광원장치.
- 제34항 내지 제36항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 상기 광가이드체가 중공의 것이고, 상기 광원어레이측으로부터 빛이 입사하는 단면 및 빛이 출사하는 단면 이외의 적어도 일단면의 상기 광가이드체 내부의 면이 금속반사면인 것을 특징으로 하는 광원장치.
- 제34항 내지 제36항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 상기 광가이드체가 중실의 것이고, 상기 광원어레이측으로부터 빛이 입사하는 단면 및 빛이 출사하는 단면 이외의 적어도 일단면의 상기 광가이드체 내부의 면이 금속반사면 또는 상기 광가이드체내에 도입되는 빛에 대하여 전반사면인 것을 특징으로 하는 광원장치.
- 제34항 내지 제36항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 광가이드수단에 있어서의 빛의 입사측으로부터 출사측까지의 거리를 L, 광원어레이에 있어서의 인접하는 광원 사이의 간격을 P, 각 LED로부터 방사되는 빛의 강도가(광원으로부터 방사되는 빛의 강도가) 상기 빛의 광축상의 강도의 1/2이 되는 위치의 광축으로부터의 각도를 θ로 하여, L≥P(tan≥θ)의 관계를 만족하도록 구성되어 이루어지는 것을 특징으로 하는 광원장치.
- 제34항 내지 제36항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 상기 발광소자가 발광다이오드인 것을 특징으로 하는 광원장치.
- 제34항 내지 제36항 중 어느 한 항에 기재된 광원장치; 및상기 광가이드수단의 빛이 출사하는 단면에 대향하여 배치되고, 상기 광가이드수단으로부터의 빛을 변조하는 부재를 포함하여 이루어지는 것을 특징으로 하는 광학장치.
- 제42항에 있어서, 상기 광가이드수단에 있어서의 빛이 출사하는 단면의 외형면적이, 상기 광가이드수단으로부터의 빛을 변조하는 부재의 광조사면의 외형면적과 실질적으로 동일한 크기인 것을 특징으로 하는 광학장치.
- 제34항 내지 제36항 중 어느 한 항에 기재된 광원장치; 및상기 광가이드수단의 빛의 출사단면에 대향하여 배치되고 광가이드체로부터의 빛을 변조하는 액정표시소자;를 포함하여 이루어지는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
- 제44항에 있어서, 상기 액정표시소자에 대하여 광가이드체와 반대측에 배치된 투사렌즈를 갖는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
- 각각 삼원색광을 발광하는 복수의 발광소자가 면형상으로 배치된 광원어레이와, 이 광원어레이로부터의 빛을 일단면으로부터 입사시켜 혼합하여 다른 단면측으로 도입하는 광가이드체를 구비한 광원장치; 및상기 광가이드체의 빛의 출사단면에 대향하여 배치되고, 상기 각 색의 발광소자가 순차적으로 점등되는 것과 동기하여 각 색마다 분리된 화상신호에 의거하여 각 색의 빛을 변조하여 화상을 형성하는 액정표시소자;를 포함하여 이루어지는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
- 제1항에 기재된 광원장치;상기 광원장치로부터의 빛을 변조하는 공간 광변조장치; 및상기 공간 광변조장치에 의해 변조된 빛을 투사하는 렌즈;를 포함하여 이루어지는 것을 특징으로 하는 프로젝터.
