Abstract

PURPOSE:To facilitate oil discharge by forming a cock-fitted drain hole on the bottom part of an oil pan installed in the lower part of an internal combustion engine of an outboard machine and forming a through hole which is formed in the vertical direction and permits the mounting and demounting of the cock, onto a casing, positioned under the drain hole. CONSTITUTION:An outboard machine 1 is constituted by installing an engine 9 housed in a cowling 6 onto a supporting plate 8 installed into the upper edge opened port or part of an upper casing 3 which constitutes a casing 5. A bottomed cylindrical oil pan 34 is installed on the undersurface of the supporting plate 8. In this case, the oil pan 34 is constituted by loading the bottom part of the oil pan 34 in the part having a drain hole 36 formed, onto a protrusion part 37 formed on the rear surface of the upper casing 3. A through hole 39 which is opposed so as to coincide with the drain hole 36 is formed along the vertical direction, and a drain bolt 40 as cock body is screwed in demountable ways into the drain hole 36 through the through hole 39.
