Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 く本発明の産業上の利用分野〉 本発明は、樹脂平面に押し付けて回転して、摩家熱によ
って樹脂平面に溶着するための、樹脂製回転溶着部材に
関する。
〈従来技術〉(第5.6図) 樹脂平面に回転溶着するための従来の樹脂i′J口転溶
着部材、例えばスタッド1や留め具2は、第5図、第6
図の如く柱部3の一端に一定厚みの円板状のフランジ部
4を突設し、フランジ部4の溶着面と反対側の周縁部に
係合突起5を突設した構造となっている。
この樹脂製部材を樹脂製の取付基板に取付けるには第7
図に示すように、樹脂製の取付基板6の取付けるべき位
置に、回転治具7でスタッド1又は沼め具2を保持して
押し付け、回転治具7の切欠き7aに係合突起5を係合
して高速回転させる。
この時に生じる摩擦熱によって7ランジ部4及び取付基
板6の両接触面が溶融する。回転を停止した後、溶融部
は冷却、硬化し、この結果、スタッド1又は留め具2は
取付基板6に強固に固定される。
く本発明が解決しようとする問題点〉 しかしながら、上記の構造のスタッド1又は留め具2で
は、フランジ部4と取付基板6の相方間の線膨張係数の
相違のために、溶融部に冷えて硬化収縮する際の収縮率
の相違によって、第8図に示すように溶融した取付基板
6がフランジ部4に)口径変化して、取付基板6の裏面
に湾曲やシワが生じる、いわゆるパ裏つツリ現象”が生
じていた。
このため、取付基板6の裏面が外観量として用いられる
場合には、この“裏つツリ現客”のために外観性を著し
く低下させていた。
く本発明の目的〉 本発明は、このような外観性の低下を招く“裏つツリ現
染”′の発生をできる限り少なくするためにフランジ部
の形状を改造して線膨張係数の相違による影響を低減し
た樹脂製回転溶着部材を提供することを目的としている
く本発明の手段〉 上記目的を達成するため、本発明では、樹脂製回転溶着
部材のフランジ部の肉厚を中心から外周方向に向って漸
減したことを特徴としている。
く上記手段による作用〉 このようにフランジ部の肉厚を外周方向に向って漸減し
たため、フランジ部と取付基板の相互間の線膨張係数に
相違があっても、フランジ部の肉厚が外周側はど源いた
め、硬化収縮時にフランジ部の外周側が取付基板に変形
追従して、湾曲やシワを生じることが少なくなる。
く本発明の実施例〉(第1〜4図) 以下、図面に基づいて本発明の詳細な説明する。
第1.2図はそれぞれ本発明による樹脂製回転溶着部材
(スタッド又は留め具)の実施例を示している。
第1図は合成樹脂で一体成形されたスタッドで、円筒状
の柱部10と、その一端に突設された円板状のフランジ
部11と、フランジ部11のrFJW面と反対面側の周
縁部に突設された複数個の係合突起12とを備え、フラ
ンジ部11は外周方向に向って肉厚が漸減している。
第2図は柱部10に係合用の弾性突起14.14を備え
た留め具で、他の部分の構造は第1図と同一である。
第3図の如く回転治具16で樹脂製回転)RW部材(ス
タッド又は留め具)を保持し、回転治具16の切欠き1
6a、16aに係合突起12.12を係合して合成樹脂
製の取付基板17にフランジ部11を押し付けて高速回
転させると、接触面が摩擦熱で溶融して溶着する。そし
て、その後、溶着部が冷えて硬化して第4図の如く固定
される。
この冷却硬化において、フランジ部11と取付基板17
の相互間の線膨張係数に相違があっても、フランジ部1
1の肉厚が外周側はど簿いため、フランジ部11の方が
変形しやすくなり、硬化収縮時に取付基板17の変形に
追従するから、取付基板17の裏面に湾曲やシワを生じ
る″衷つッリ現象″の発生が少なくなる。
〈本発明の効果〉 以上説明したように本発明の樹脂製回転溶着部材は構成
されているので、取付基板の裏面の“裏つツリ現象”の
発生を少なくすることができる。
