The cross-sectional shapes of the pair of support parts 3, 3 formed next to each other and the mounting parts 4, 4 formed integrally extending horizontally from the lower end of each support part 3 horizontally to the left and right sides are almost opposite. Rubber fenders in the shape of a letter (2) are known, and these fenders are said to exhibit excellent energy absorption performance due to the compressive deformation of the inclined support portion 30 and the subsequent bending deformation. However, in this case, when the fender is installed so as to extend horizontally near the water surface, the waves repeatedly apply a strong impact force, which may cause loosening of the mounting bolts and damage to the fender. - There are disadvantages such as looseness of the embedded part and accelerated wear and tear of the attachment part of the fender.

The basic idea is to form it so that it is left and right asymmetrical.

In FIG. , a pair of support portions 3, 3' formed in an inclined shape in one direction, and extending from the lower end of each support portion 3 to the right and left sides in parallel with the impact receiving portion 2. It is a horizontally elongated hollow cylindrical rubber fender consisting of mounting parts 4 and 4' formed by the following methods, and the angle θ1 between the impact receiving parts 2 of one of the supporting parts 3 is the same as that of the other supporting part 3. It is characterized by being formed to be larger (or smaller) than the angle θ2 between the supporting portion 3' and the impact receiving portion 2.

The supporting portion 3, which is formed to be gently inclined, is attached to the quay wall surface (or the gunwale surface) so as to be on the water surface side, thereby reducing the impact force caused by waves and preventing the loosening of the bolts mentioned above. It is possible to eliminate drawbacks such as looseness of the bolt embedding part and wear and tear of the fender mounting part.
