Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable sizing of square steel pipes having different side sizes without roll changing in the stage of sizing the electric welded steel pipe by providing vertical supporting rolls on the plane of upper and lower horizontal rolls, and disposing vertical side rolls on the upper stream and down stream of the upper and lower rolls. CONSTITUTION:Sizing rolls 20 consisting of an upper roll 1a and a lower roll 1b as horizontal rolls and a pair of supporting rolls 2 as vertical rolls within the same plane as the plane of the upper and lower rolls are provided in the stage of sizing an electric welded steel pipe to a square shape. The rolls 2 are made to have the roll width at which the product square steel pipe having the smallest size is successfully formed. Said rolls contribute to prevent deformation of the sides of the steel plate to a projecting shape within the plane of the upper and lower rolls. Side rolls 3, 4 which are vertical rolls are respectively disposed on the upper stream and down stream sides of the rolls 1a, 1b. The bend, twist, etc. of the steel pipe formed to the square steel pipe by said rolls are straightened by two units of turky head rolls and the easy sizing of the square steel pipes having different side sizes is made possible.

As is well known, there are two types of sizing rolls, the 20-ru type and the 40-ru type, as shown in Figure 1. In the 40-ru type, the left and right rolls 3.4 are idlers, and the rolls 3.4 from the upper and lower openings to the la, lb is driven, but the 40-ru plane is the same plane. For products with a large t/D, the product undergoes slip-down and intrusion molding due to the feed force from the fin bath roll, but surface scratches on the product are more likely to occur with the 20-ru type, which has a large difference in circumferential speed between the roll and the material. ,
Roll wear is also faster compared to the 40-roll type. However, both types are thought to be exactly the same in terms of the large roll design.

しかしながらいずれの方法にも次のような欠点がある。However, both methods have the following drawbacks.

1゜The range of roll use within the same roll (top and bottom/side) is only a few seconds in terms of product side dimensions. If it exceeds this, it is necessary to change the role. 2.40
If the side dimensions are the same, square and rectangular rolls can be formed by using the Z double a-ru, but for other product sizes, the rolls will need to be replaced, so it is not possible to form them. Time line stops.

3゜The required number of sizing roll sets per model is:
In the case of 20-ru, it is necessary for the number of types of products, and in the case of 40-ru, it is necessary for the number of types of side dimensions, which increases the equipment cost.

In other words, the conventional upper and lower 20-ru type and the upper and lower side 40-ru type.
In both types of roll configurations, the rolls are set within a single plane. Therefore, the side dimension of the product is 10
If the number changes by more than m+i, the roles cannot be used interchangeably, and role rearrangement is required.

That is, the gist of the present invention is to provide vertical side rolls on the horizontal upper and lower roll surfaces, and to form sizing areas by arranging vertical side rolls upstream and downstream of the upper and lower rolls, thereby forming a square tube of a welded blank pipe. The goal is to do the following.

以下本発明を図面について詳述する。The present invention will be explained in detail below with reference to the drawings.

FIG. 2 is a side view schematically showing the sizing roll arrangement of the present invention. The sizing roll 20 of the present invention has a horizontal roll, a shite roll 1a, and a lower roll 1b, but a pair of support rolls 2 are provided as vertical rolls on the same plane as the upper and lower rolls 1.

The support roll 2 has a roll width that does not hinder the formation of the minimum size of the product. That is, there is a possibility that the side of the product may be deformed into a convex shape C2 within the planes of the upper and lower rolls, but this fear has been eliminated by the support roll L2. According to the present invention, the sizing area is obtained by forming three roll surfaces with upper and lower rolls and side rolls on the upstream and downstream sides thereof, but the sizing area for square steel pipes is the same as that of the conventional 20-ru and 40-ru types. In addition to obtaining the same effect as using sizing rolls, sizing molding can be performed without changing the rolls according to changes in product size. That is, by changing the surfaces on which the upper and lower rolls and the side rolls are installed, it is possible to use the same roll for both purposes, no matter how the side dimensions of the product change.

Support rolls are provided on the upper and lower roll surfaces to support the sides of the product and prevent overbending. The roll width is set to the value required for the smallest product of that model, and other than that, it is set so that it does not interfere with the molding of the product.

Generally, in the construction of ERW pipes, the welded blank pipe is fed by the pushing force of the forming rolls and the tensile force of the sizing rolls, but in the present invention, the pushing force of the forming rolls and the pulling force of the sizing rolls The feeding force will be applied to the product with a weak tensile force, or it will be within a range that does not pose a problem for molding.

Although the present invention has been mainly described above with respect to the angular shape of a round welded blank pipe, the present invention is of course not limited to this. Sizing forming C2 of a rectangular electric resistance welded pipe to be bent is also applied. Experiments have shown that in this case, the sizing rolls of the present invention do not need to be arranged in tandem.
