Abstract

PURPOSE:To realize the multicolor recording with a simple and small-sized constitution and low cost, by providing at least >=2 developing parts consisting of a magnetic toner developing device and a recording electrodes respectively along an induction belt and changing the color of the magnetic toner. CONSTITUTION:The recording electrodes 1a-1c are distributed inside a recording medium 4 having a double-layer structure of a conductor and an insulator, and the sleeves 5a-5c having the segment electrodes 8a-8c are set opposite to the electrodes 1a-1c respectively. Tha magnetic toner of each color is used for these sleeves. Thus a developing part is formed. Then the prescribed voltage is applied to each electrode by the matrix driving. As a result, the toners of different colors are adsorbed to the rear side of the medium 4, and an image is transcribed onto the recording paper 12 by a transfer corotron 14. In this case, the toner image is never disturbed by the developing device of the next stage. In such way, the multicolor recording is possible with a simple and small-sized constitution and with a low cost.
