Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve the easy tendency of producing back density and the need for forming electrostatic latent images of two kinds of polarities, positive and negative, by providing one set of image forming part and two developing devices and using magnetic brush inversion development.
CONSTITUTION: A recording drum 6 is evenly charged to certain polarity by a Corotron 22. The application of voltages of two kinds of levels from the pin driver 24 connected to a character generator 13 and control circuit 14 causes a pin electrode 1 to discharge and remove the charges on a drum 6, thereby forming electrostatic images of two kinds of levels. A positive or negative bias is applied to magnetic brush developing device 11, 12 respectively from development biasing power sources 25, 26 and the colored toner having been charged to negative deposits on the high latent image potential part on the drum 6 and the colored toner having been charged positive on the low latent image potential part. The two color toner images are charged positive by a force charging corona discharger 16, are transferred to plane paper 18 by a transfer Corotron 17 and are fixed by a fixing device 19.
