Abstract

PURPOSE:To print a clear picture at a high speed without requiring complex device constitution by performing the 1st development in black and by performing high- resistance magnetic brush reversal development as the 2nd one. CONSTITUTION:A photoconductive drum is electrified uniformly by a charger 2 and then irradiated with the 1st optical image 3 to form a charge latent image, which is developed being reversed by the 1st developing device 4. Some part of the photoconductive drum 1 which was not irradiated with the 1st optical image 3 is irradiated with the 2nd optical image 5 to form the 2nd charge latent image, which is developed being reversed by the 2nd developing device 6 to form a bicolor toner image on the photoconductive drum 1. The thus formed toner image is transferred to recording paper 7 by a transferring device 8 in the presence of transfer corona and then fixed. The toner image remaining on the photoconductive drum 1 is removed by a cleaner 9 and the same process is repeated to obtain many pictures continuously.
