Abstract

PURPOSE:To stably output the preceding oscillating frequency even for a long time interruption of a reference signal, by inputting an output of a frequency divider giving a signal with the closest phase to a phase comparator, to a frequency divider output frequency-dividing the reference signal at the interruption of the reference signal. CONSTITUTION:When a reference signal is inputted to a terminal 13, this signal is frequency-divided by N at the 1st frequency divider 14 and given to a phase comparator 21 via a selecting circuit 20 and the signal is compared in terms of phase with the output of the 2nd frequency divider frequency-dividing the output of a voltage controlled oscillator 16 by m at the comparator 21, the output controls the oscillator 16 via an LPF22 to output a signal synchronizing in terms of phase with the reference signal. The output of the oscillator 16 is frequency-divided by m at the 3rd frequency divider, and the frequency divider 17 receives a control signal from the frequency divider 14 via a suppression circuit 19 and outputs a frequency dividing signal of phase closest to that of the output signal of the frequency divider 14. When the reference signal is interrupted, this is detected at a signal interruption detecting circuit 15 to control a circuit 20 and the output of the frequency divider 17 is selected to be given to the comparator 21, and the output of the comparator 21 controls the oscillator 16.
