Abstract
PURPOSE:To reduce the noise and then stabilize the operation of the oscillator with a low-cost constitution, by making variable the pass band of the LPF of the phase synchronous loop device and then detecting the noise contained in the LPF to control the LPF as well as give the control to the pass band. CONSTITUTION:The output of signal source 1 is supplied to phase comparator 2 to detect the phase difference to the output signal of voltage control oscillator 6, and then supplied to variable pass band LPF7. The AC noise component contained in the DC output component of LPF7 is detected by control circuit 8, and LPF7 is controlled by the detection signal to give the control to the pass band. The noise output increases immediately after the signal frequency sent from signal 1 varied. In this connection, the pass band of the LPF is increased, and the control is given to the LPF in order to secure a quick response of oscillator 6. Then the pass band of the LPF is reduced after oscillator 6 followed the frequency change sufficiently, and thus the noise signal can be cut off effectively. As a resulst, only one unit of LPF suffices to simplify the constitution and then realize a low-cost device. At the same time, the operation of the oscillator can be stabilized.
