Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve C/N ratio by a simple circuit and to eliminate the delay of pull-in time by inputting to a frequency contrl oscillator the DC component of the voltage that corresponds to the phase difference between both output signals from a reference signal generator and a frequency converter and by compensating a rough tuning frequency by comparing the integral value of the said voltage with upper and lower limit values of frequencies which can be phase-synchronized. CONSTITUTION:The output of frequency control oscillator 1 is frequency-divided by frequency converter 5, whose output is compared with the output signal of reference signal generator 4 by frequency phase comparator 3; and loop filter 2 extracts the DC component of the voltage signal that corresponds to the phase difference from the reference signal and then applies the component to frequency control oscillator 1 to control the oscillation frequency. On the other hand, the said reference signal and the frequency-division output are inputted to the 2nd frequency phase comparator 17 and the integral value of the voltage that corresponds to the phase difference is inputted from integrator 7 to frequency-synchronizing circuit 8, which compares is with preset upper and lower limit values and, when it is greater or less than the upper or lower limit value, compensates the rough tuning frequency of frequency control oscillator 1.
