Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent crashing of the stopper at the end of the rod and to restrain vibrations and noises during the course of cushion press, by installing a dumper mechanism to the rod having the cushion ram at the end part and by restraining abrupt ascents of the ram.
CONSTITUTION: When a pressing is completed, the inner pressure of chambers 17 and 16 is increased because a die is raised. Because of the increase of the inner pressure, an upward force is given to the 1st cushion ram 11 of a die cushion 10, and a stopper 20 at the end of a piston rod 14 is lifted. Then, the air in a cylinder 24 is compressed, and the air flows out while it is controlled by an orifice 25. Therefore, abrupt ascents of the stopper is restrained and, since the stopper 20 does not crash against a stopper screw 21, occurrences of vibrations and noises are prevented.
