Abstract
PURPOSE:To enhance the operating efficiency of the rotary electric machine by allowing the field current occurred within predetermined time even if it exceeds the maximum allowable current. CONSTITUTION:If the deviation signal 7a between allowable field current 8a and field current 6a exceeds the maximum allowable deviation value V0, a monostable circuit 17 is energized so that the contact 17a is opened. Thus, the integrator 15 integrates the deviation signal 7a at a time constant responsive to the value of the deviation signal 7a. If the output 15a of the integrator 15 exceeds the set value 21a, monostable circuits 22, 23 are energized, the integrator 26 starts integrating the deviation signal 7a and produces an excessive excitation limit signal to the automatic voltage regulator 3. Thus, the operating efficiency of the rotary electric machine can be enhanced.
