By an error signal indicating an error between this standard voltage V0 and an voltage across the gap F between an electrode 11 and a work 12, a pulse control step 42 designed capable of being set in accordance with kinds of processing is operated, and pulse band of a pulse generating circuit 3 is controlled. Further, charging circuits CH1 and CH2 which are designed capable of being set in accordance with kinds of processing are operated by the error signal E and discharge current is controlled so that discharge processing is conducted under an optimum condition for a kind of processing.
