Abstract
PURPOSE:To recover the voltage of the rotary electric machine to the maximum capacity of the generator therein by eliminating the overexcitation to the generator when it is less than the time limit inversely proportional to the magnitude of a field current exceeding the allowable field current proportional to the cooling gas pressure. CONSTITUTION:The allowable field current proportional to the internal cooling gas pressure of the generator produced from an allowable field current signal setting circuit 15 is compared with the field current by a deviation detector 8. A subtractor 22 subtracts the square 100% voltage by the square field current, and a square operation amplifier 20 squares the deviation signal. When the deviation signal reaches a set value, a relay 17 is operated to open the contact 71b, and an arithmetic amplifier 27 integrates the sum of the outputs of the amplifier 20 and the subtractor 22. When the output of the amplifier 27 reaches the set value of the setting unit 28, a relay 30 is operated to apply the deviation signal as an overexcitation limit signal to an automatic voltage regulator 4.
