Abstract

PURPOSE:To unify the air quantity flowing in respective pipes of heat exchanging part of an electric rotary machine and to enhance the cooling effect by a method wherein dashboards are provided in plural stages against the flowing direction of the open air in a ventilation duct introducing the open air into the pipes of heat exchanging part, and their fixing angles are made to be adjustable. CONSTITUTION:In a totally-enclosed fan-cooled type motor, dashboards 11 are provided in plural stages in a ventilation duct 6 introducing the open air into pipes 3 of heat exchanging part. The dashboards 11 are formed in a hinge type, wings 12 being close to inlets of the pipes 3 are fixed and wings 13 being close to outside fans 5 are made to be movable, and their angles against the flowing direction of the cooling air is made to be adjustable. The more the number of the dashboards 11 is increased, the more the cooling effect is enlarged. By this way, because the distribution of air quantity in the respective pipes 3 can be made to unify, so that the cooling effect can be enhanced.
