Abstract

PURPOSE:To efficiently circulate the internal air of a totally-enclosed rotating electric machine for improving the cooling effect by providing its stator core which has a corrugated stator-frame with axial ventilation flues, and installing a baffle plate for the internal air inside the stator frame. CONSTITUTION:A corrugated stator-frame 3 is installed around a stator core 2 in order to form internal-air ventilation flues 6 between the frame and the core 2, and external-air ventilation flues 5 outside the frame. The stator core 2 is provided with two or more ventilation flues 13 which penetrate axially through the core. A baffle plate 19 for circulating the internal air is installed inside the stator frame, for example, at the coil-end part. The constitution permits the internal cooling air generated by an internal fan 9 to return to the internal fan 9 through the ventilation flues 13 of the core 2 after a heat exchange with the external air in the internal-air ventilation flues 6, so that cooling effect can be improved.
