Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the overcurrent of a motor at a low speed, by varying the limitting value of a limiter circuit which limits the maximum allowable current of the motor with respect to a speed command signal. CONSTITUTION:The power supply 16 is connected to the motor 4 via a rectifer 1 and an inverter 3. The signal from a voltage detector 6 is supplied to an automatic voltage regulator 8 together with a speed command signal 5, and controls the gate of the rectifier 1 via the limiter 12 and an automatic current regulator 11. The speed command signal 5 controls the gate of the inverter 3 via a ring counter 14. At this time, the speed command signal is also supplied to a current limiter regulating circuit 15, and the limiter 12 is operated by the output therefrom. Therefore, the limiting value which limits the maximum allowable current of the motor 4 can be varied by the speed command, and the flowing of the current exceeding the value of the allowable current into the motor 4 at a low speed can be prevented.
