Abstract
PURPOSE:To decrease the space factor winding occupying rate of a single-phase induction motor and prevent disconnection of windings and the rise of winding wire temperature by dividing and inserting speed shifting winding connected in series with a parallel circuit of a main and an auxiliary windings into main and auxiliary winding slots. CONSTITUTION:Main and auxiliary windings 1 and 2 are connected in parapllel with each other, a high speed tap is introduced from the connecting point therebetween, a speed shifting winding 3 is connected to the connecting point, and a low speed tap is introduced from one end of the speed shifting winding. Then, the speed shifting winding 3 is divided into speed shifting windings 3a and 3b, and the winding 3a is inserted into the same slot as the main winding 1 and the winding 3b is inserted into the same slot as the auxiliary winding 2. In this manner, this configuration can decrease the winding occupying rate without reducing the size of the diameter of the windings 1 and 3 and improve the workability of inserting the windings.
