Abstract

PURPOSE:To eliminate high space factor of slots by setting main and auxiliary coil axes at an electrical angle of 120 deg. and arranging four small slots (into which main or auxiliary coil portions are inserted) between two opposed large slots into which main and auxiliary coil portions are inserted. CONSTITUTION:A stator of a signle-phase induction motor is provided with six slots, and a main coil axis and an auxiliary axis are set at an electrical angle of 120 deg.. To the slot numbers 1-6 correspond six slots 31-36 of which two large slots 31 and 34 and four small slots 32, 33, 35, and 36 are arranged in the order of large 31- small 32- small 33-large 34-small 35-small 36. Coil portions of main coils 21 and 22 and of auxiliary coils 23 and 24 are inserted in large slots, while coil portions of main coils or auxiliary coils are inserted in small slots. Thus space factors of the slots are evened, to eliminate such a slots as has particularly high space factor.
