Abstract

CONSTITUTION:A plurality of slots 7a-7d, 8a-8d are formed on a stator core 6 of a capacitor-start motor. First main winding 10 is so inserted into the slots 7a, 7b, 7c, 7b, 7a as to form 8 shape in a closed loop, and second main winding 11 is so inserted into the slots 7c, 7d, 7a, 7d, 7c as to form 8 shape in a closed loop. When currents are flown through the windings 10, 11 in the direction as designated by arrows, the currents flow in the same direction through the two main windings in the same slot and the currents flow in opposite direction through the windings in adjacent slots. Thus, necessary poles are formed between the slots. Two windings 13, 14 are similarly inserted in the slots 8a-8d.
