Abstract
PURPOSE:To increase torque in the case when characteristics shift to cage type characteristics form repulsion characteristics by a mechanism wherein short-circuit pieces contacting with each segment of a commutator are formed by ones of two kinds functioning at the first speed of revolution and the second speed of revolution. CONSTITUTION:Lap winding coils are inserted into slots S1-S28 formed to a rotor core, and each connected to commutator segments 1-56. C2-C56 corresponding to the even numbers of the segments are made up as the first short-circuit pieces and C1-C55 corresponding to the odd numbers as the second short-circuit pieces, and the first short-circuit pieces C2-C56 at the first speed of revolution and the second short-circuit pieces C1-C55 at the second speed of revolution larger than the first speed of revolution are contacted with the segments 1-56. Thus, torque in the case when characteristics shift to cage type characteristics from repulsion characteristics can be enlarged while currents in case of the functioning of the short-circuit pieces are reduced, and the characteristics can be improved.
