PURPOSE:To enable easily visual recognition of air conditioned state such as the direction of air, existence of air, and air temperature or the like of an automotive air conditioner by providing display means for indicating the operating states of the respective ducts, air conditioner operation control means, and operating device operated by the control means. CONSTITUTION:When a vehicle starts running at a speed than 10km/hr., a vehicle speed detector 162 closes to operate a solenoid unit 52 to thereby rotate a switching damper valve 46 so as to open an outside air introduction duct 14 and to simultaneously turn green lamps 124G, 140G ON. It indicates that the outside air is introduced into an air conditioner body 10. When the bush-button switch 106 of push-button switches 102, 104 and 106 is closed, it opens a DEF damper valve 64 to allow the outside air to be introduced from a diffuser into the room of the vehicle to turn a green lamp 134G ON.
