Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent the generation of several zero intersections even if a high-frequency noise is contained in a data signal, and to reduce the deviation from the original detection output position, by feeding back the only AC signal from the zero intersection detection output to the input part.
CONSTITUTION: The output of the reading head is applied to differential comparator 33 via differentiator 5, and output 40 of comparator 33 varies (waveform E) so as to give a two-level output; and then, it is fed back to input 35 via resistance 37 and capacitor 38, thereby giving the discrimination level of a zero intersection by resistance 36. When output 40 varies from the ground potential to a positive voltage, the level potential of zero intersection discrimination is deviated by +a3 to the positive via resistance 37 and C38. For the purpose, the value of C38 is selected in order to make +a3 nearly equal to the ground potential within the time of one bit, so that C38 will feed only AC components back to input 35. As a result, the discrimination level voltage becomes 22 (waveform D) and a3 and a4 are fixed to 15 to 20% of the data signal, so that the generation of a plural number of detection outputs due to a high-frequency noise will be eliminated.
