Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1. 電気的干渉を阻止しながら物体の位置を定める容量ベース近接センサで あって、 (イ)物体の動きと共に変動する容量を形成する電極アレイと、 (ロ)電極アレイに接続され基準信号と同期して容量を測定する測定手段と、 (ハ)電気的干渉の周波数と一致しない周波数を有する基準信号を測定手段へ 供給する発生器手段と、 を具備する近接センサ。 2. 請求項1記載の近接センサであって、発生器手段は電気的干渉を評価し て電気的干渉の周波数とは異なる周波数の基準信号を発生する手段を具備する、 近接センサ。 3. 請求項2記載の近接センサであって、評価手段は選択された基準信号の 周波数およびこれらの各周波数に対する電気的干渉IMの尺度のテーブルを格納 し、関連するIMが最低である周波数の基準信号を発生する手段を含む、近接セ ンサ。 4. 請求項1記載の近接センサであって、発生器手段は基準信号を発生する 発振器手段と、発振器手段が発生する基準信号の周波数をランダムに変える手段 とを具備する、近接センサ。 5. 請求項4記載の近接センサであって、変化手段は基準信号の周波数を供 給される数に比例して変える手段と、変化手段へ連続的に数を供給する疑似ラン ダム数発振器とを具備する、近接センサ。 6. 請求項1記載の近接センサであって、さらに測定手段に応答して電極ア レイに対する物体の位置を示す、高周波成分を有する、位置信号を発生する物体 ロケータ手段を含み、前記発生器手段は、 物体ロケータ手段に応答して位置信号の高周波成分の大きさを求める評価手段 と、 評価手段に応答して位置信号の高周波成分の大きさが所定値を越える場合に基 準信号の周波数を変える手段と、 を具備する、近接センサ。 7. 請求項1記載の近接センサであって、前記測定手段は、 基準信号に同期して電極アレイ上に電圧変化を生じる駆動手段と、 基準信号に同期して電極アレイしたがって容量に接続された電荷を測定する電 荷測定手段と、 駆動手段からの電圧変化の発生を選択的に抑止する手段であって、駆動手段の 抑止期間中に行われる結合電荷測定値が干渉尺度IMを表す抑止手段と、 を具備し、 前記発生器手段は干渉尺度IMが所定値を越える場合に基準信号の周波数を変 える手段を含む、近接センサ。 8. 請求項7記載の近接センサであって、発生器手段はさらに基準信号の周 波数およびこのような各周波数の基準信号に対する関連する干渉尺度IMを格納 し、関連する最低干渉尺度IMを有する周波数の基準信号を発生する手段を含む 、近接センサ。 9. 請求項1記載の近接センサであって、電極アレイは第1のアレイ内で互 いに間隔のとられた複数の第1の電極ストリップと、互いに間隔がとられかつ第 1の電極ストリップに近接する複数の第2の電極ストリップとを具備する、近接 センサ。 10. 請求項9記載の近接センサであって、測定手段は、 基準信号に同期して電極アレイ上に電圧変化を生じるドライバ手段と、 電極アレイに接続され、基準信号の周波数に同期して、電圧変化の結果として 電極アレイ上に結合される電荷を表す測定値信号を発生する電荷転送手段と、 電荷転送手段に接続され基準信号に同期して測定値信号を整流する同期復調器 手段と、 同期復調器手段に接続され整流された信号の平均直流値、したがって電極アレ イの容量を表す信号を発生するローパスフィルタと、 を含む、近接センサ。 11. 請求項10記載の近接センサであって、測定手段は各々が各電極スト リップに接続されている複数の容量測定要素を含む、近接センサ。 12. 請求項11記載の近接センサであって、さらに各々が各容量測定要素 に接続されている複数の同期復調要素を具備する、近接センサ。 13. 請求項1記載の近接センサであって、さらに測定手段の出力に接続さ れ電極アレイに対する物体の位置を表す位置信号を与える位置ロケータ手段を含 む、近接センサ。 14. タッチパッドに対する物体の位置を感知することにより干渉を阻止し てデータを発生する容量ベースタッチ検出システムであって、 (イ)タッチパッドに隣接する容量を発生する電極アレイと、 (ロ)物体が基準周波数信号に同期してタッチパッドに対して移動する時にタ ッチパッドに隣接する容量の変動を測定する手段と、 (ハ)干渉の周波数から離れた周波数の基準周波数信号を発生して測定手段へ 送り前記干渉を有効に阻止する手段と、 を具備する、検出システム。 15. 請求項14記載の検出システムであって、基準周波数発生器手段は干 渉の周波数を評価して干渉周波数から離れた周波数の基準周波数信号を選択する 手段を具備する、検出システム。 16. 請求項14記載の検出システムであって、基準周波数発生器手段は発 振器および発振器に接続されて周波数がランダムな基準周波数信号を発生する疑 似ランダム数発生器を具備する、検出システム。 17. 請求項14記載の検出システムであって、電極アレイは互いに間隔が とられタッチパッドの容量を生じる第1組および第2組の電極を具備する、検出 システム。 18. 請求項17記載の検出システムであって、第1組および第2組の電極 は一般的に互いに直交していて容量を与える仮想電極を形成する、検出システム 。 19. 請求項14記載の検出システムであって、測定手段は電極アレイに接 続された容量性測定要素、容量性測定要素に接続された同期復調器、および復調 器に接続されたローパスフィルタを具備する、検出システム。 20. 電極アレイ上の物体の位置を感知する方法であって、 (イ)物体の動きと共に変動する容量をアレイ上に発生するステップと、 (ロ)基準信号の周波数と同期してアレイ上の容量を測定するステップと、 (ハ)容量に影響を及ぼす電気的干渉の周波数と一致しない周波数を有する基 準信号を発生するステップと、 からなる、感知方法。 21. 請求項20記載の方法であって、さらに電極アレイに対する物体の位 置を示す信号を発生するステップを含む、感知方法。
