【発明の詳細な説明】
【０００１】
【産業上の利用分野】この発明は、生理用ナプキンや使
い捨ておむつなどの体液吸収性物品に関する。
【０００２】
【従来の技術】従来、体液吸収性物品において上下端が
開口する導液管を備えた表面シートで吸収体の上面を被
覆する技術は公知である。また、かかる物品が例えば生
理用ナプキンであれば、経血で汚れた吸収体が導液管の
開口から鮮やかに看取されることがないように、その開
口の下端に接触させたネットで開口を複数に分割する技
術が特開平５−１５４１７５号公報に開示されている。
この技術によれば、使用後のナプキンは経血による汚れ
が目立たない。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】ところが、ネットで開
口を複数に分割して小さくするほど、表面シートの開口
面積率が減少し、ナプキンの体液吸収速度や吸収率とい
った吸収能力の低下につながりかねない。そこで、この
発明は、吸収体の上面と表面シートの下面との間に疎水
性合成樹脂の連続面域が上面に形成された親水性繊維か
らなる体液拡散シートを介在させることにより、体液の
吸収能力を低下させることなく吸収体の経血による汚れ
を隠蔽することを課題にしている。

【課題を解決するための手段】この発明が前記課題を解
決するために手段とするところは、以下のとおりであ
る。
【０００５】この発明においては、平面に所要の間隔を
あけて配置され上下端が開口して下方向へ延出する多数
の導液管を備えた表面シートで吸収体の少なくとも上面
を被覆してある体液吸収性物品を前提にしている。
【０００６】かかる前提において、吸収体の上面と表面
シートの下面との間に、並行する複数条の疎水性合成樹
脂連続面域が上面に形成された親水性繊維からなる体液
拡散シートを介在させて導液管の下端に接触させるとと
もに、前記連続面域をして導液管の下端開口を横切らせ
てあることがこの発明の特徴である。
【０００７】この発明の好ましい実施態様において、前
記連続面域が熱可塑性合成樹脂を押出成形したもので構
成され、体液拡散シートが親水化処理した熱可塑性合成
繊維不織布である。また、前記連続面域は体液拡散シー
トの下面にも形成されることがある。

【作用】このように構成した体液吸収性物品では、***
された体液、例えば経血が導液管の下端開口からそれに
接触する体液拡散シートへ移行して該シート内に拡散
し、さらにその下の吸収体へと移行する。吸収体は、体
液拡散シートに覆われ、そのシート上面には複数条の合
成樹脂連続面域が形成されているから、吸収体の経血に
よる汚れは、拡散シートと連続面域とによって隠蔽され
て容易に看取されることがない。***された経血は、親
水性繊維からなる体液拡散シート内に拡散するから、た
といそれが前記物品の局所に***されても、吸収体上面
の広い範囲に行き渡り、速やかに吸収される。

【実施例】この発明に係る体液吸収性物品の詳細につい
て生理用ナプキンを例にとり、添付の図面を参照して説
明すると、以下のとおりである。
【００１０】図１は、生理用ナプキン１の部分破断斜視
図である。ナプキン１は、ほぼ矩形であって、透液性表
面シート２と、不透液性裏面シート３と、これら両シー
ト２，３間に介在する吸収体４と、表面シート２と吸収
体４との間に介在する体液拡散シート５とからなる。吸
収体４と拡散シート５とは、平面形状が実質的に同じで
あって、吸収体４はその上面が拡散シート５で被覆され
た状態にあり、表裏面シート２，３は、吸収体４の四周
から延出する部分が水密に接合している。
【００１１】表面シート２は、熱可塑性合成樹脂フィル
ムの加工品であって、平面方向に所要の間隔をあけて配
置された多数の導液管６を備えることにより透液性を有
している。裏面シート３は熱可塑性合成樹脂フィルムで
ある。吸収体４は、粉砕パルプや粉砕パルプと高吸水性
ポリマーの混合物の賦型品である。拡散シート５は、親
水化処理した熱可塑性合成繊維不織布であって、少なく
ともその上面にはナプキン１の長手方向に互いに並行し
て延在する幅０．０５〜１．５ｍｍ、より好ましくは
０．１〜１．０ｍｍの疎水性熱可塑性合成樹脂の連続面
域８がある。
【００１２】図２は、図１のＩＩ−ＩＩ線による部分拡
大断面図であって、ナプキン１の断面が模式的に示して
ある。図において、表面シート２の導液管６は、上端開
口１０と下端開口１１とを有し、その径方向の断面形状
は円形、多角形等の適宜の形状にすることができる。そ
れが円形である場合に上下端の開口径Ｄ，ｄは、互いの
大小関係を問わない。
【００１３】吸収体４の断面には粉砕パルプの繊維１２
と高吸水性ポリマー粒子１３とが見える。吸収体４の繊
維密度は、拡散シート５の繊維密度よりも高くしてあ
り、ポリマー粒子１３は、吸収体４の５〜４０重量％の
範囲で使用し、粉砕パルプ１２と均一に混合してもよい
が、好ましくは、吸収体４の下層部分に多くを分布させ
る。かかる吸収体４は、ホットメルト接着剤などにより
裏面シート３の上面に間欠的に接合し、互いにずれ動く
ことがないようにすることができる。
【００１４】拡散シート５において使用する不織布は、
例えば坪量１０〜５０ｇ／ｍ2の親水化処理したスパン
ボンド不織布であって、その繊維密度は吸収体４のそれ
よりも低くしてある。拡散シート５の上面１５は表面シ
ート２の下端開口１１に密着し、下面１６は吸収体４の
上面に密着している。上面１５の樹脂連続面域８は、拡
散シート５に融着したポリエチレン、ポリプロピレン等
の疎水性合成樹脂フィルムからなり、幅Ｗ＝０．０５〜
１．５ｍｍ、より好ましくは０．１〜１．０ｍｍを有
し、幅方向の配列間隔が導液管６の下端開口径ｄより小
さく、連続面域８の幅方向の少なくとも一部が各下端開
口１１の一部分を横切っている。
【００１５】このように構成したナプキン１を使用する
と、***された経血は、図１、２に矢印で示したように
移行する。すなわち、経血は導液管６を通って相対的に
低密度の拡散シート５に吸収されて、シート５の長手方
向（図１参照）と幅方向（図２参照）とに拡散しなが
ら、さらに相対的に高密度の吸収体４に吸収、保持され
る。保持された経血は、拡散シート５と樹脂連続面域８
とに遮られ表面シート２の上方からは容易にそれと看取
することができないのみならず、吸収体４から表面シー
ト２上面への逆流（いわゆるリウエット現象）も起こら
ない。このナプキン１では、経血がシート５内に吸収さ
れると広く拡散し、吸収体４上面の広い範囲から吸収さ
れることとなるので、連続面域８が導液管６の下端開口
１１の一部を塞いでも、ナプキン１全体としての経血吸
収速度や吸収量の妨げにはならない。
【００１６】図３は、図２と異なる態様のナプキン１の
要部拡大断面図である。このナプキン１では拡散シート
５の上下面１５，１６に連続面域８がある。この拡散シ
ート５では、導液管６の下端開口１１を連続面域８で直
接的に塞ぐ面積を小さくして経血の吸収速度を相対的に
高めながら、吸収体５の経血を直接的に隠蔽するという
効果を得ることができる。
【００１７】図４は、さらに図２と異なる態様のナプキ
ン１の要部拡大断面図である。このナプキン１の拡散シ
ート５では、不織布の繊維密度を連続面域８の下の部分
２０で相対的に高く、連続面域８間の部分２１で低くし
てある。さらに、部分２０の密度は吸収体４のそれより
も低くしてあるから、経血の多くは、低密度部分２１か
ら高密度部分２０へと移行したのち吸収体４へと移行す
る。このようにすると、拡散シート５では経血が連続面
域８の下の高密度部分２０に集まり、かつ、部分２０に
おいてその長手方向へ速やかに拡散するようになるか
ら、吸収体４の経血による汚れに加え、拡散シート５の
汚れも目立ちにくくなる。しかも、経血は、そのような
拡散によってナプキン１の端部にまで速やかに行き渡
り、吸収体４にその端部からも吸収されるようになる。
【００１８】この発明に係るナプキン１では、拡散シー
ト５に使用したスパンボンド不織布をメルトボンド不織
布等その他の不織布に代えることができる他に、シート
状の単なる繊維ウエブに代えることもできる。また、疎
水性合成樹脂の連続面域８を形成するには、連続的に供
給する拡散シート５の上面に幅（Ｗ）０．０５〜１．５
ｍｍ、厚さ０．０１〜０．０８ｍｍの熱可塑性合成樹脂
帯状物ないし糸状物を押出し、圧着してもよい。また、
それに代えて拡散シート５の表面にホットメルト接着剤
を糸状にコーティングしたり、シート５の表面を部分的
に加熱溶融してフィルム状にしてもよい。これら連続面
域８は、経血の長手方向への拡散を阻害しない程度にお
いて、互いに隣接する面域８を梯子状に部分的に連結し
て補強することもできる。ただし、その連結部分は、面
域８の長手方向において互いに２０ｍｍ以上離隔してい
ることが好ましい。面域８は、適宜着色して経血を効果
的に隠蔽することができる。さらにはまた、拡散シート
５の構成繊維の多く、より好ましくは過半をナプキン１
の長手方向または幅方向に配向させておくことにより、
経血を吸収体４の端部や側部にまで迅速に行き渡らせる
ことができる。

【発明の効果】この発明に係る体液吸収性物品において
は、表面シートと吸収体との間に拡散シートを介在さ
せ、その拡散シートを親水性繊維で構成し、シート上面
には疎水性合成樹脂連続面域を設けたから、該物品の体
液吸収能力を妨げることなく吸収体の経血による汚れを
効果的に隠蔽することができる。

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1. 【請求項１】平面に所要の間隔をあけて配置され上下端
    が開口して下方向へ延出する多数の導液管を備えた表面
    シートで吸収体の少なくとも上面を被覆してある体液吸
    収性物品において、 前記吸収体の上面と前記表面シートの下面との間に、互
    いに並行する複数条の疎水性合成樹脂連続面域が上面に
    形成された親水性繊維からなる体液拡散シートを介在さ
    せて前記導液管の下端に接触させるとともに、前記連続
    面域をして前記導液管の下端開口を横切らせてあること
    を特徴とする前記物品。
  2. 【請求項２】前記連続面域が熱可塑性合成樹脂を押出成
    形したもので構成され、前記体液拡散シートが親水化処
    理した熱可塑性合成繊維不織布である請求項１記載の物
    品。
  3. 【請求項３】前記連続面域が押出成形した幅０．０５〜
    １．５ｍｍの熱可塑性合成樹脂フィルム状物ないし糸状
    物からなる請求項１記載の物品。
  4. 【請求項４】前記連続面域が前記体液拡散シートの下面
    にも形成されている請求項１記載の物品。
