Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the radio interference of both line signals by putting radio communication between a non-contacting type IC card carried by each user and a toll gate into the order of arrival even when plural vehicles go into the communicatable area of the toll gate at a toll expressway or the like. CONSTITUTION:A non-contacting type IC card 13A carried by the user of the toll expressway or the like is constituted so as to communicate the toll gate side by receiving an inquiry number 2 transmitted from the toll gate side, obtaining the right of communication and transmitting the information of a user number 3 or the like by radio signals when the vehicle, on which the user gets, goes into the communicatable area of the toll gate. On the other hand, the toll gate side stops transmitting the inquiry number in a fixed cycle during a toll collection processing due to the communication with the non-contacting type IC card 13A and when the communication is normally completed and a positive response 6 is outputted, a next inquiry number 7 is transmitted for communication with the following vehicle (with a non-contacting type IC card 13B on the following vehicle side).

Reference numeral 16 denotes a toll gate calculator installed at an unmanned toll gate 17. The toll plaza calculator 16 receives information such as a user number and issued toll plaza number transmitted from the contactless IC cards 13A and 13B via the toll plaza antenna 11, calculates the amount to be withdrawn, and informs the user of the amount to be withdrawn. Claim. When this is received, a central computer 19 installed in the central control center 18 and connected to the toll plaza calculator 16 through a communication line etc.
The amount to be withdrawn is communicated to the user, and based on this, the fee is withdrawn from the user's bank account, etc.

However, in the conventional contactless IC card communication sequence described above in the toll collection system, the contactless IC card 13A communicates with the tollgate computer 16 via the tollgate antenna 11. During this process, if another user (vehicle 14B in which he or she is riding) carrying another non-contact IC card 13B enters the communicable area 15 from behind, as shown in FIG. Since the contact IC card 13B unilaterally transmits the user number 35, etc., interference occurs in the wireless signals. As a result, there was a problem that normal toll collection could not be carried out.

[Means for Solving the Problems] In order to solve the above-mentioned problems, the present invention allocates an inquiry number to each vehicle passing through a toll gate on a toll road, etc., and a non-contact person who receives this inquiry number The configuration is such that only the IC card communicates with the toll gate within the communicable area, and inquiry numbers are not assigned to subsequent vehicles until the toll collection process via wireless communication with the contactless IC card is completed. It is characterized by the following.

[0011] Until the communication with this contactless IC card is completed normally, the toll gate side will not be able to handle the contactless IC card held by the vehicle (or the contactless IC card held by the user riding the vehicle) that later enters the communication area. No inquiry number will be assigned to. Therefore, even if multiple vehicles enter the communicable area of a toll plaza, the contactless IC card of the vehicle that entered later will not be able to use the contactless IC card of the vehicle that entered first. during the period of communication with the tollgate side)
Information such as user numbers is not transmitted, and there is no interference with wireless signals.

FIG. 1 is a diagram for explaining a communication sequence of a contactless IC card in a toll collection system according to an embodiment of the present invention. The system configuration of a toll collection system to which the communication sequence of FIG. 1 is applied is the same as the conventional toll collection system of FIG. 2, except for the communication sequence and the like. Therefore, the communication sequence in FIG. 1 will be explained using the system configuration in FIG. 2 for convenience.

Now, in this embodiment, toll motorway 12
When a vehicle traveling in the tollgate 17 (tollgate antenna 11 installed at the tollgate) enters the communicable area 15, the communicable signal of the contactless IC card held by the user riding in the vehicle becomes valid. This point is similar to the conventional example. However, the subsequent operation of the contactless IC card is different from the conventional one.

In other words, when the contactless IC card in this embodiment receives an inquiry number from the toll gate antenna 11 while its own communicable signal is in a valid state, it receives the inquiry number, and is then used for the first time. The terminal number and the like are transmitted to the toll gate antenna 11. on the other hand,
When the toll plaza calculator 16 receives the user number etc. transmitted from the contactless IC card via the toll plaza antenna 11, it starts toll collection processing as described in the conventional example, and a series of processing procedures ends. Until then, the sending of the next inquiry number will be temporarily suspended.

Effects of the Invention As described in detail above, according to the present invention, an inquiry number is assigned on a first-come-first-served basis to vehicles entering the communicable area of a toll plaza on a toll road, etc. The contact IC card is given the order to permit wireless communication with the tollgate side, and until the communication with the permitted contactless IC card is completed, inquiries are not made to vehicles approaching later. Since the number assignment is temporarily suspended, even if multiple vehicles enter the communication area of the tollgate, there will be no interference of radio signals, and normal toll collection will be possible.
