Claims (2)
- 芯金と弾性材とで構成されたシール部材と、前記シール部材に対して周方向に摺動するシール摺動面とを備え、
前記シール部材は、径方向に延びる腰と、前記腰から径方向内側に向かって外部側へ傾いた方向に延びるリップ頭とを含む弾性材製のシールリップ部を有し、前記リップ頭は、周方向全周に形成された中実部と、前記中実部からシール摺動面側へ突き出た複数の突起部とからなり、前記複数の突起部は、周方向に隣り合う前記突起部同士の間に隙間を生じさせ、かつ軸受回転に伴って前記隙間から前記突起部と前記シール摺動面間に引き摺り込まれる潤滑油の油膜によって前記シールリップ部及び前記シール摺動面間を流体潤滑状態にすることが可能な態様で形成されているシール付軸受において、
前記弾性材として熱硬化性エラストマー及び熱可塑性エラストマーのいずれかが使用されており、
前記弾性材の硬さは60HS以上、80HS以下であり、
前記芯金の高さをAとし、前記シール部材の外径から前記中実部のリップ先端上までの高さをBとし、前記芯金の内径を規定する内周縁から前記中実部のリップ先端上までの高さをCとし、前記腰の厚さをDとし、前記中実部のリップ先端上での内径をEとし、前記中実部と前記シール摺動面間に設定された締め代をFとし、(前記引き摺り込まれる潤滑油の圧力スパイク/接触楕円の面積)と緊迫力の比率をRとして、0.50<A/B<0.80かつ0.10<C/B<0.31かつ0.05<D/C<0.22かつ0.002<F/(E/2)<0.020かつ21.1<R<44.9を満足することを特徴とするシール付軸受。 - 車両のトランスミッション、ディファレンシャル、等速ジョイント、プロペラシャフト、ターボチャージャ及び駆動モータ、並びに工作機械、風力発電機及びホイール軸受の中のいずれか一つの回転部を支持する請求項1に記載のシール付軸受。
