Description
チタン酸バリウム、イットリウムの酸化物およびマグネシウムの酸化物を含む誘電体組成物であって、
イットリウムの酸化物の含有量をY2O3換算でαモル部、マグネシウムの酸化物の含有量をMgO換算でβモル部とする場合に、0.70≦α/β≦1.10である。
前記誘電体層が上記の誘電体組成物からなる積層電子部品である。
図1に示すように、本発明の一実施形態に係る積層セラミックコンデンサ1は、誘電体層2と、内部電極層3と、が交互に積層された構成のコンデンサ素子本体10を有する。内部電極層3は、各端面がコンデンサ素子本体10の対向する2端部の表面に交互に露出するように積層してある。一対の外部電極4は、コンデンサ素子本体10の両端部に形成され、交互に配置された内部電極層3の露出端面に接続されて、コンデンサ回路を構成する。
誘電体層2は、少なくとも、チタン酸バリウム、イットリウムの酸化物およびマグネシウムの酸化物を含有する誘電体組成物から構成されている。
内部電極層3に含有される導電材は特に限定されないが、誘電体層2の構成材料が耐還元性を有するため、比較的安価な卑金属を用いることができる。導電材として用いる卑金属としては、NiまたはNi合金が好ましい。Ni合金としては、Mn,Cr,CoおよびAlから選択される1種以上の元素とNiとの合金が好ましく、合金中のNi含有量は95重量%以上であることが好ましい。なお、NiまたはNi合金中には、P等の各種微量成分が0.1重量%程度以下含まれていてもよい。内部電極層3の厚さは用途等に応じて適宜決定すればよいが、通常、1.0〜1.5μm、特に1.0〜1.2μm程度であることが好ましい。
外部電極4に含有される導電材は特に限定されないが、本発明では安価なNi,Cuや、これらの合金を用いることができる。外部電極4の厚さは用途等に応じて適宜決定すればよいが、通常、10〜50μm程度であることが好ましい。
本実施形態の積層セラミックコンデンサ1は、従来の積層セラミックコンデンサと同様に、ペーストを用いた通常の印刷法やシート法によりグリーンチップを作製し、これを焼成した後、外部電極を印刷または転写して焼成することにより製造される。以下、製造方法について具体的に説明する。
得られたコンデンサ試料に対し、基準温度25℃において、デジタルLCRメータにて、周波数1kHz、入力信号レベル(測定電圧)1Vrmsの条件下で測定された静電容量から算出した(単位なし)。比誘電率εsは2400以上を良好とし、2600以上をさらに良好とした。
得られたコンデンサ試料に対し、200℃にて、25V/μmの電界下で直流電圧の印加状態に保持し、寿命時間を測定した。本実施例においては、直流電圧の印加開始から絶縁抵抗が一桁落ちるまでの時間をそのコンデンサ試料の寿命時間とした。上記の評価を20個のコンデンサ試料について行い、寿命時間の平均値を高温負荷寿命ηとした。高温負荷寿命ηは15時間以上を良好とし、30時間以上をさらに良好とした。
得られたコンデンサ試料に対し、基準温度25℃および測定温度125℃において、デジタルLCRメータにて、周波数1kHz、入力信号レベル(測定電圧)1Vrmsの条件で静電容量を測定し、基準温度25℃における静電容量に対する測定温度125℃での静電容量の変化率を算出した。本実施例ではTCは±10%以内である場合を良好とした。
得られたコンデンサ試料に対し、基準温度25℃において、10Vで30秒間、電圧を印加した後、絶縁抵抗計を用いて絶縁抵抗IRを測定した。そして、誘電体層の厚みと、有効電極面積と、測定の結果得られた絶縁抵抗IRとに基づき比抵抗ρを算出した。比抵抗ρが1.5E+10Ω・m以上である場合を良好とした。なお、1.5E+10とは、1.5×1010という意味である。ただし、比抵抗ρが良好でなくとも本願発明の目的を達成することはできる。
得られたコンデンサ試料について、積層方向に垂直に切断した。そして、得られた切断面についてEPMA(電子線マイクロアナライザ)を用いて観察を行った。倍率3000倍で、視野38.4μm×28.8μmの範囲について、Mg元素、Si元素およびY元素の元素マッピングを行い、Mg元素の元素マッピング画像、Si元素の元素マッピング画像およびY元素の元素マッピング画像を得た。
実施例1の試料番号7について、バナジウムの含有量を変化させて試料番号16,17を作成し、実施例1と同様に特性を評価した。また、実施例1の試料番号4について、バナジウムの含有量を変化させて試料番号18,19を作製し、実施例1と同様に特性を評価した。結果を表2に示す。

Claims (7)
- チタン酸バリウム、イットリウムの酸化物およびマグネシウムの酸化物を含む誘電体組成物であって、
イットリウムの酸化物の含有量をY2O3換算でαモル部、マグネシウムの酸化物の含有量をMgO換算でβモル部とする場合に、0.70≦α/β≦0.81であり、
前記チタン酸バリウムの含有量をBaTiO 3 換算で100モル部とする場合に、
マグネシウムの含有量がMgO換算で1.12〜1.85モル部であり、
ケイ素の含有量がSiO 2 換算で1.39〜2.80モル部である誘電体組成物。 - 前記チタン酸バリウムの含有量をBaTiO3換算で100モル部とする場合に、
バナジウムの含有量がV2O5換算で0.02モル部以上、0.2モル部以下である請求項1に記載の誘電体組成物。 - 前記チタン酸バリウムの含有量をBaTiO3換算で100モル部とする場合に、
イットリウムの含有量がY2O3換算で0.78〜2.03モル部である請求項1または2に記載の誘電体組成物。 - 誘電体層、内部電極層および外部電極を備えた積層電子部品であって、
前記誘電体層が、チタン酸バリウム、イットリウムの酸化物およびマグネシウムの酸化物を含む誘電体組成物からなり、
前記誘電体組成物において、イットリウムの酸化物の含有量をY 2 O 3 換算でαモル部、マグネシウムの酸化物の含有量をMgO換算でβモル部とする場合に、0.70≦α/β≦1.10であり、
前記誘電体組成物において、前記チタン酸バリウムの含有量をBaTiO 3 換算で100モル部とする場合に、
イットリウムの含有量がY 2 O 3 換算で0.78〜2.03モル部、
マグネシウムの含有量がMgO換算で1.12〜1.85モル部であり、
積層電子部品の断面におけるYが偏析している領域が占める面積割合が0.01〜2.0%であり、
積層電子部品の断面におけるMgが偏析している領域が占める面積割合が0.01〜2.0%である積層電子部品。 - 前記誘電体組成物において、前記チタン酸バリウムの含有量をBaTiO 3 換算で100モル部とする場合に、
バナジウムの含有量がV 2 O 5 換算で0.02モル部以上、0.2モル部以下である請求項4に記載の積層電子部品。 - 前記誘電体組成物において、前記チタン酸バリウムの含有量をBaTiO 3 換算で100モル部とする場合に、
ケイ素の含有量がSiO 2 換算で1.39〜2.80モル部である請求項4または5に記載の積層電子部品。 - 積層電子部品の断面におけるSiが偏析している領域が占める面積割合が4.0%以下である請求項6に記載の積層電子部品。
