Description
以下、図面を参照して本発明の第1の実施形態を詳細に説明する。図1は、本実施形態に係る車両用視認装置10が適用される車両12を示す図である。本実施形態の車両12は、ミニバン、ワンボックスのように車両前後方向に3列のシートが配置される車両である。なお、図1及び図4〜図6は、運転者Dが着座し、後席16C(2列目)左側に乗員Pが着座している例を示している。
図1から図3に示されるように、本実施形態の車両用視認装置10は、複数のカメラ20と、ディスプレイ40と、切替スイッチ50と、制御装置30と、を含んで構成されている。以下、各構成について説明する。
図3に示されるように、本実施形態の制御系は、制御装置30を主として構成されている。この制御装置30は、例えば、車両12の前席側のフロア付近に設けられている(図1参照)。制御装置30は、CPU、ROM、RAMを含んで構成されている。制御装置30には、後方カメラ22、右後側方カメラ24R、左後側方カメラ24L、室内カメラ26、ディスプレイ40、及び切替スイッチ50が接続されている。また、制御装置30は、大別すると室内画像処理部32と、主制御部34とを有している。主制御部34は、視認画像の生成処理や切替処理を行うものであり、画像生成部36と、切替制御部38とを有している。
切替制御部38により実行される切替処理及び画像生成部36により実行される画像生成処理について、図7のフローチャートを用いて説明する。
図8に示すタイムチャートを用いて遷移アニメーションが実行された場合の画像の変化状態について説明する。図8では、一例として、視認画像を通常画像から死角補完画像、室内視画像の順に変化させ、その後、死角補完画像を経て再び通常画像に変化させている。
本実施形態の車両用視認装置10の特徴をまとめると、以下のとおりである。
第1の実施形態の車両用視認装置10は、切替スイッチ50の操作に基づいて視認画像を切り替えるものであった。これに対し、第2の実施形態の車両用視認装置10では、切替制御部38が、カメラ20による各撮像範囲内に存在する物体の情報に基づいて、視認画像を切り替え可能としている。具体的に本実施形態では、第1の実施形態の切替スイッチ50に代えて、物体検出センサ52を設け、当該物体検出センサ52の信号を切替制御部38に入力させている。
第1の実施形態の車両用視認装置10は、切替スイッチ50の操作に基づいて視認画像を切り替えるものであり、第2の実施形態の車両用視認装置10は、物体検出センサ52の情報に基づいて視認画像を切り替えるものであった。これに対し、第3の実施形態の車両用視認装置10では、切替制御部38が、運転者Dの視線に基づいて、前記視認画像を切り替え可能としている。具体的に本実施形態では、第1の実施形態の切替スイッチ50に代えて、アイトラッカ56を設け、当該アイトラッカ56の信号を切替制御部38に入力させている。
以上、各実施形態について説明したが、本発明においては、第1から第3の実施形態を組み合わせても実施してもよい。すなわち、切替制御部38に対して、切替スイッチ50のみならず、物体検出センサ52やアイトラッカ56を接続し、これらのセンサを適宜選択して視認画像を切り替えてもよい。

Claims (2)
- 撮像範囲の異なる複数の撮像手段と、
一又は複数の前記撮像手段の撮像画像に基づいて、車両後方の画像と、半透過させた車両構造物の画像と、後席の乗員の画像とを合成させた視認画像を生成する画像生成手段と、
前記視認画像を表示する表示手段と、を備え、
前記画像生成手段は、
車両下方から車両上方に向かうにつれて前記車両構造物の画像の透過度が増して、車両上方側に近づくにつれて前記車両構造物がより透過するような前記視認画像を生成する車両用視認装置。 - 前記撮像手段として、車両後部から後方を撮像する後方カメラと、車両側部から後方を撮像する後側方カメラと、車室内において後席を含む後方を撮像する室内カメラを備え、
前記画像生成手段は、
前記後方カメラの撮像画像と前記後側方カメラの撮像画像とを合成した前記車両後方の画像と、前記室内カメラに基づく前記車両構造物の画像と、前記室内カメラに基づく前記後席の乗員の画像と、を合成する請求項1に記載の車両用視認装置。
