Claims (8)
- 導電体(30)を有する電線(28)に電気端子(10)を圧着する方法(200)であって、
圧着工具(100)の対向し合う圧着工具部材(108,110)間に前記電線(28)及び前記電気端子(10)を配置すること(202)と、
前記導電体(30)が圧着バレル(20)に機械的且つ電気的に接続されるように前記圧着工具部材(108,110)を使用して前記電線(28)の前記導電体(30)に対して前記電気端子(10)の前記圧着バレル(20)を押圧すること(204)を備え、
前記導電体(30)の少なくとも幾つかの金属表面(126)の少なくとも幾つかの接触部分(131)が溶融し、1つ以上の隣接し合う導電体(30)の前記金属表面(126)の1つ以上の接触部分(131)と熱溶着(130)を形成するように、前記圧着バレル(20)は、前記導電体(30)に対して押圧され、
前記導電体(30)に対して前記圧着バレル(20)を押圧するとき(204)に、前記金属表面(126)の前記少なくとも幾つかの接触部分(131)を溶融させるのに十分に速い少なくとも毎秒約30メートルの速度で前記圧着工具部材(108,110)を互いに向けて移動させる、
