Description
本発明の第一参考例に係る端子付き電線を図1〜3を用いて説明する。本参考例の端子付き電線10は、例えば、自動車等に搭載される電子機器同士を接続するワイヤハーネスを構成するものであって、絶縁被覆1Aの内部に導体1Bを有した電線1と、この電線1の端末部1Cに圧着された端子金具2と、を備えて構成されている。電線1の導体1Bは、例えば、複数の素線を撚り合わせた撚り線から構成され、素線としては、例えば、銅、銅合金を素材とした軟銅線、錫めっき銅線又はニッケルめっき銅線や、アルミニウム合金を素材としたアルミニウム線等が例示できる。
本発明の第二参考例に係る端子付き電線を図4〜6を用いて説明する。本参考例の端子付き電線10は、前記第一参考例のものと比較して、端子金具2の前足部24に切り込みを入れて折り曲げることによって突起部26が形成される点が相違している。以下、相違点について詳しく説明する。
本発明の実施形態に係る端子付き電線を図7、8に基づいて説明する。本実施形態の端子付き電線10は、前記第一、二参考例のものと比較して、端子金具2に突起部26が形成されず、端子金具2とは別体のキャップ部材3を備え、このキャップ部材3に突起部33が形成されるとともに、キャップ部材3の突起部33を介して電線1の導体1Bと端子金具2とが電気的に接続される点が相違している。以下、相違点について詳しく説明する。

Claims (3)
- 絶縁被覆の内部に導体を有した電線と、該電線の端末部に圧着された端子金具と、を備えた端子付き電線であって、
前記端子金具は、相手方の端子金具に電気的に接続される電気接触部と、該電気接触部に連続して前記電線の端末部に接続される電線接続部と、を有し、
前記電線接続部は、前記電線の周方向に沿って該電線の端末部を把持する把持部と、該把持部と別体に設けられて前記絶縁被覆を貫通する突起部と、を有し、該突起部を介して前記導体と前記把持部とが電気的に導通され、
前記突起部は、前記把持部と別体に設けられて前記電線の端末部に装着された有底筒状かつ導電性のキャップ部材の内面から突出して形成されていることを特徴とする端子付き電線。 - 前記把持部は、加締められることで前記電線の端末部を把持する一対の足部を有して構成され、該電線を把持した状態において、前記一対の足部の先端同士が前記電線の周方向に沿って互いに円形又はフラットに連続して設けられていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の端子付き電線。
- 絶縁被覆の内部に導体を有した電線と、該電線の端末部に圧着される端子金具と、を備えた端子付き電線の製造方法であって、
前記端子金具は、相手方の端子金具に電気的に接続される電気接触部と、該電気接触部に連続して前記電線の端末部に接続される電線接続部と、を有し、
前記電線接続部は、前記電線の周方向に沿って該電線の端末部を把持する把持部と、該把持部とは別体に設けられた有底筒状かつ導電性のキャップ部材と、を有し、該キャップ部材には、その内面から突出した突起部が設けられ、
前記電線の端末部に前記キャップ部材を装着し、該電線及びキャップ部材を前記把持部に挿通させてから、前記把持部を加締めて前記キャップ部材及び前記電線の端末部を押圧するとともに、前記突起部で前記絶縁被覆を貫通することで、前記キャップ部材を介して前記導体と前記把持部とを電気的に導通させることを特徴とする端子付き電線の製造方法。
