Description
The present invention relates to a gas detection device.
Conventionally, there is a detection device that uses a gas-sensitive portion made of a metal oxide semiconductor and detects the gas of the detection target gas by utilizing the property that the resistance value of the gas-sensitive portion changes according to the gas concentration of the detection target gas. (For example, refer to Patent Document 1). In the detection device disclosed in
In the above-described detection device, when the temperature is switched from the high temperature period to the low temperature period, the temperature of the gas sensitive part gradually decreases, but the temperature of the gas sensitive part decreases to a temperature at which the gas sensitivity to the detection target gas reaches a peak in the low temperature period. At that time, the resistance value of the gas sensitive part was taken in, and the gas was detected based on the resistance value at this time.
For this reason, it takes a relatively long time to perform gas detection from the time of switching to the low temperature period, and there has been a desire to shorten the time until gas detection.
The present invention has been made in view of the above problems, and an object thereof is to provide a gas detection device capable of shortening the time until gas detection in a low temperature period.
The invention of
The invention of
According to the first aspect of the present invention, the hold unit updates the hold value every time the sampling unit samples even during the low temperature period, and the gas determination unit compares the resistance value held in the hold unit with the gas determination level. Thus, since the presence / absence of the detection target gas is determined, it is possible to shorten the time until the gas detection as compared with the case where the gas determination unit performs the gas determination for the first time at the end of the low temperature period. In addition, the hold unit holds the resistance value sampled at the end of the low temperature period until the next low temperature period, and the result of determining the presence or absence of the detection target gas is held until the next low temperature period. The result of determining whether or not there is no interruption in the middle. The hold unit holds the smaller of the sampling value or the hold value during the low temperature period, but holds the resistance value sampled at the end as the hold value at the end of the low temperature period. If the gas concentration of the detection target gas decreases and the resistance value of the gas sensing part returns to the state before detection, the hold value is updated at the end of the low temperature period, so the judgment result of the gas judgment part is made non-detection state. be able to.
According to the invention of
Embodiments of the present invention will be described below with reference to FIGS. The gas detection apparatus according to the present embodiment is used in, for example, a fuel cell that uses hydrogen extracted by reforming a carbon compound such as methane for power generation, and detects carbon monoxide contained in the reformed gas. Used. If carbon monoxide remains in the reformed gas, the catalyst of the fuel cell is poisoned and the power generation capacity may be reduced. Therefore, the carbon monoxide in the reformed gas has a predetermined gas judgment level. If it exceeds, the detection signal is output to the outside. The application of the gas detection device according to the present invention is not limited to the above application, and can be used for various types of gas detection, and also for applications such as gas alarms, breath odor measuring devices, and breath measuring devices. Applicable.
FIG. 1 is a block diagram showing a schematic configuration of a gas detection device. The gas detection apparatus shown in FIG. 1 includes a constant voltage
The constant voltage
The
In this type of gas
It is preferable that the metal oxide semiconductor, which is the material of the gas
As shown in FIG. 2, a
The
Both ends of the
Next, the function of each part of the
The
The
For example, when the detection timing preset in the low temperature period of 20 seconds (for example, the fifth, tenth, fifteenth, and twenty seconds from the start of the low temperature period) comes, the
When the resistance value Rs of the
Here, the operation of the
Thereafter, when 10 seconds elapse from the start of the low temperature period, the
Further, when 15 seconds elapse from the start of the low temperature period, the
Further, when 20 seconds elapse from the start of the low temperature period, the
After that, when a transition is made to the next low temperature period after passing through the high temperature period, the
The
When the detection signal is input from the
Here, the operation of the present embodiment will be described with reference to the waveform diagram of FIG. 4A shows the resistance value Rs and hold value Rs0 of the
As described above, the
As shown in FIG. 4A, the resistance value Rs of the
As described above, the
On the other hand, in the low temperature period TL3 after the detection target gas is exhausted, the resistance value Rs of the
Thus, since the hold value Rs0 is always below the gas determination level L1 from time t9 to time t16, the
As described above, the gas detection apparatus according to the present embodiment includes the
As described above, the
In the above embodiment, the case where the reducing gas is the detection target gas has been described as an example. However, the oxidizing gas (for example, NOx, O 3 , S, etc.) in which the resistance value of the
In this case, as described above, the
As described above, the
The circuit configuration of the gas detection device described in the above embodiment is merely an example, and can be appropriately changed according to necessary functions and performance.
