Description
本発明の繊維は、シリコン含有基板上のピラーの製造により作製される。前記ピラーはドライエッチング、例えば、これと共に通例で譲り受けられ、かつ参照によりここに組み込まれる米国出願番号10/049736に例えば記載された型の深堀り反応性イオンエッチングにより作製されることが可能である。また、ピラーは、ウェットエッチング/共通の譲受人で、シリコン系材料のエッチング方法と題され、参照することによりこの文章中に組み込まれた我々の同時継続出願GB 0601318.9に例えば記載された化学的ガルヴァニック交換法の使用によって、作られることができる。使用しても良い関連方法は、Peng K-Q, Yan, Y-J Gao, S-P, Zhu J., Adv. Materials, 14 (2004), 1164-1167 (“Peng”); K. Peng et al, Angew. Chem. Int. Ed., 44 2737-2742;及びK. Peng et al., Adv. Funct. Mater., 16 (2006), 387-394Aに記載されている。
Claims (16)
- リチウムイオン電池の電極を作る方法であって:
結合されたフェルトを形成するように、1つ又は複数の結合点で複数の結合されていないシリコン含有繊維がまとめて結合されるステップであって、
前記複数の結合されていないシリコン含有繊維が前記1つ又は複数の結合点でまとめて結合されるまで前記複数の結合されていないシリコン含有繊維に圧力を加えるステップと、
前記複数の結合されていないシリコン含有繊維が前記1つ又は複数の結合点でまとめて結合されるまで前記複数の結合されていないシリコン含有繊維を加熱するステップと、
前記複数の結合されていないシリコン含有繊維を、前記1つ又は複数の結合点で金属架橋元素の金属を介して架橋としてまとめて結合するステップと
を有するステップ;及び
前記リチウムイオン電池の前記電極の電気化学的活物質としての前記結合されたフェルトを形成するように、前記結合されたフェルトが備えられるステップ;
を有する方法。 - 前記金属架橋元素の金属は、銅、ニッケル、アルミニウム、鉄、イリジウム、金、チタン、鉛、ビスマス、アンチモン及び銀を含む群から1つ又は複数が選択される、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記複数の結合されていないシリコン含有繊維は、シリコン及び前記金属の合金化温度まで加熱される、請求項2に記載の方法。
- 前記金属が、無電解メッキ、粉末の分散及び蒸着法により、シリコン含有繊維の1つ又はそれ以上に添加される、請求項2又は3に記載の方法。
- 前記複数の結合されていないシリコン含有繊維を有するスラリーを形成するステップを更に有する、請求項1乃至4の一項に記載の方法。
- 前記スラリーはキャスティング溶媒を有し、前記キャスティング溶媒はn−メチルピロリジノンである、請求項5に記載の方法。
- 前記スラリーはポリビニリデンジフルオライド(PVDF)を有する、請求項5又は6に記載の方法。
- 前記スラリーは、前記複数の結合されていないシリコン含有繊維の層を形成するように、導電基板上に堆積される、請求項5乃至7の何れか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記結合されたフェルトは多孔性構造を有する、請求項1乃至8の何れか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記複数の結合されていないシリコン含有繊維はn型又はp型ドープドシリコンを有する、請求項1乃至9の何れか一項に記載の方法。
- 請求項1乃至10の何れか一項に記載の電極を作るステップと、カソード及び電解質を追加するステップとを有する、リチウム充電式セルを作る方法。
- 前記電極は複合アノードである、請求項11に記載の方法。
- 前記複合アノードにおけるシリコン含有繊維の質量分は70%乃至95%の範囲内にある、請求項12に記載の方法。
- 前記複数の結合されていないシリコン含有繊維を形成するように、シリコンベース基板からピラーを分離するステップを更に有する、請求項11乃至13の何れか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記ピラーを形成するように、前記シリコンベース基板をエッチングするステップを更に有する、請求項14に記載の方法。
- リチウムイオン電池の電極であって、当該電極は、電気化学的活物質のリチウム化又は非リチウム化の前に、1つ又は複数の結合点で複数の結合されていないシリコン含有繊維がまとめて結合されたフェルトを有する前記電気化学的活物質を有する、電極であって、前記複数の結合されていないシリコン含有繊維が、前記1つ又は複数の結合点で金属架橋元素の金属を介して架橋としてまとめて結合されている、電極。
