Description
本願は、2006年6月30日提出の米国暫定特許出願番号60/806,438の優先権を主張するものであり、その全体がここに参照として組み込まれている。
Claims (9)
- 複数の解像度の画像データを有するデジタルスライドを保存するシステムであって、
DICOM(Digital Imaging and Communication in Medicine)画像データを保存するよう構成されたデータストレージ領域と、
画像取り込み装置を動作させて操作し、かつ物理的なスライド標本を表すデジタル画像データを取得し、さらに、少なくとも2つの解像度レベルの画像データを持つデジタルスライドを作成するよう構成された画像取り込みモジュールと、
DICOMモジュールと、を具え、
前記DICOMモジュールは、
前記少なくとも2つの解像度レベル毎に、複数のDICOM画像に同じ解像度レベルの前記デジタル画像データを配置し、
DICOMシリーズに前記複数のDICOM画像を配置し、
DICOMスタディに前記少なくとも2つの解像度レベルの全てを配置し、
前記DICOMスタディをデータストレージ領域に保存し、
前記複数のDICOM画像のそれぞれは、解像度レベルでのデジタル画像データの領域を含み、
前記DICOMシリーズは、同じ解像度レベルでの前記物理的なスライド標本を表し、
前記DICOMスタディは、前記少なくとも2つの解像度レベルのそれぞれで前記物理的なスライド標本を表す、
ことを特徴とするシステム。 - 請求項1に記載のシステムがさらに、ユーザがデジタル画像データを閲覧しうるよう構成された画像ビューワモジュールを具えることを特徴とするシステム。
- 請求項1または2に記載のシステムにおいて、前記複数のDICOM画像のそれぞれは500×500ピクセルであることを特徴とするシステム。
- 請求項1乃至3のいずれか1項に記載のシステムにおいて、前記DICOMモジュールがさらに、取得されたデジタル画像データの1以上の縁部の領域を切り捨てるよう構成されていることを特徴とするシステム。
- 請求項1乃至4のいずれか1項に記載のシステムにおいて、
各DICOMシリーズは、DICOMヘッダを具え、
前記複数のDICOM画像のそれぞれは、DICOMヘッダを具え、
前記DICOMモジュールはさらに、各DICOMシリーズの前記DICOMヘッダ内に画像属性情報を格納し、前記複数のDICOM画像のそれぞれの前記DICOMヘッダ内に配列情報を格納するように構成され、
前記配列情報は、前記デジタル画像データの他の領域に対して前記DICOM画像の前記デジタル画像データを配向させる情報を含む、
ことを特徴とするシステム。 - 請求項1乃至5のいずれか1項に記載のシステムにおいて、前記DICOMモジュールは、前記複数のDICOM画像のそれぞれを圧縮するように構成されていることを特徴とするシステム。
- コンピュータに実装され、DICOM(Digital Imaging and Communication in Medicine)規格を使用する複数の解像度の画像データを有するデジタルスライドを保存する方法であって、
第1デジタルスライド画像を第1の解像度で取得するステップと、
前記第1デジタルスライド画像を第1の複数領域に分割するステップと、
前記第1の複数領域の各領域を1のDICOM画像として保存するステップと、
前記第1の複数領域をまとめて含む前記DICOM画像を1の第1のDICOMシリーズとして同定するステップと、
第2デジタルスライド画像を前記第1の解像度とは異なる第2の解像度で取得するステップと、
前記第2デジタルスライド画像を第2の複数領域に分割するステップと、
前記第2の複数領域の各領域を1のDICOM画像として保存するステップと、
前記第2の複数領域をまとめて含む前記DICOM画像を1の第2のDICOMシリーズとして同定するステップと、
前記第1のDICOMシリーズと前記第2のDICOMシリーズをまとめて1のDICOMスタディとして保存するステップとを具えることを特徴とする方法。 - 請求項7に記載の方法において、
各DICOMシリーズは、DICOMヘッダを具え、
前記複数のDICOM画像のそれぞれは、DICOMヘッダを具え、
前記方法はさらに、各DICOMシリーズのDICOMヘッダ内に画像属性情報を格納し、前記複数のDICOM画像のそれぞれの前記DICOMヘッダ内に配列情報を格納し、
前記配列情報は、デジタル画像データの他の領域に対して前記DICOM画像の前記デジタル画像データを配向させる情報を含む、
ことを特徴とする方法。 - 請求項7または8に記載の方法において、前記DICOMスタディはPACS(Picture Archive and Communication System)内に格納されることを特徴とする方法。
