Description
すなわち、この場合、プログラムを実行すると、ステップS1及びステップS2を実行し、測定した二次側電圧gの変化幅が所定範囲を逸脱するので、ステップS3にて失火していると判定する。したがって、プラズマを長時間にわたって生成するために、プラズマを生成しない着火方法において点火後に燃焼室7内に流れるイオン電流を用いて燃焼状態を判定する方法が利用ができない状態でも、そのようなイオン電流により失火を含む燃焼状態を判定する方法に比較して、精度よく失火を判定することができる。

Claims (3)
- 点火プラグを備え、点火プラグに接続される点火コイルを介して印加される高電圧により生じる火花放電と燃焼室内に生成される電界とを反応させてプラズマを生成して混合気に着火する火花点火式内燃機関の燃焼状態判定方法であって、
火花放電後に点火コイルの二次側の回路に二次的に生じる二次的電圧の変化を点火毎に検出し、
点火毎に検出した、点火コイルに点火信号が印加された後の所定時間内における前記二次的電圧の変化幅が所定範囲を逸脱している場合に失火を判定する火花点火式内燃機関の燃焼状態判定方法。 - 前記二次的電圧の変化幅を、点火コイルの二次側巻線に流れる電流に基づいて、または、点火コイルの二次側巻線に発生する電圧に基づいて検出する請求項1記載の火花点火式内燃機関の燃焼状態判定方法。
- 前記二次的電圧は、燃焼室内のプラズマに基づくイオン電流が燃焼室内に生成される電界により変調された状態で点火コイルの二次側巻線に流れることによるものである請求項1または2記載の火花点火式内燃機関の燃焼状態判定方法。
