Claims (3)
- ユニバーサルジョイントにおける十字形スパイダの軸部の外周面に嵌着される金属環と、前記金属環に一体に設けられたゴム状弾性材料からなる複数のシールリップとを備え、前記シールリップは、前記軸部を相対回転可能に支持するベアリングの外輪の端部内周面に摺動可能に密接される内側シールリップと、前記金属環の嵌着位置より外側で前記軸部からその外径方向へ立ち上がる前記十字形スパイダのボス部の立ち上がり面に摺動可能に密接される外側シールリップとからなり、前記外輪の端部に、前記内側シールリップとの密接位置より外側へ延在されて前記ボス部における外側シールリップとの密接位置より外側部分と近接対向されるフランジ及びその外径端部から前記ボス部の外周側へ延びる筒状縁部が形成され、前記ボス部と前記フランジ及び筒状縁部の間に断面略L字形の屈曲形状をなすラビリンス隙間が形成されたことを特徴とするユニバーサルジョイント用密封装置。
- 十字形スパイダの軸部の先端側を向いた金属環の内端に鍔部が形成されたことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のユニバーサルジョイント用密封装置。
- 十字形スパイダの軸部の先端と反対側を向いた金属環の外端が前記十字形スパイダの軸部とボス部の間に形成された径方向段差面に当接されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のユニバーサルジョイント用密封装置。
