Description
Claims (9)
- 表示装置の観察者の視野角内に配置される液晶シャッターを備え、
前記液晶シャッターが、入射光の透過又は遮蔽の制御が可能な有効シャッター領域と、該有効シャッター領域の外側に位置し、入射光の透過又は遮蔽の制御を行わず、入射光を減衰させる光減衰領域とを有することを特徴とする液晶シャッターめがね。 - 前記液晶シャッターは、液晶セル並びに該液晶セルを相互間に挟む第1及び第2の偏光層を有し、前記第1の偏光層が前記有効シャッター領域を規定し、前記第2の偏光層が、前記第1の偏光層よりも大きく、前記光減衰領域を規定する、請求項1に記載の液晶シャッターめがね。
- 前記液晶シャッターは、液晶層並びに該液晶層を挟む第1及び第2の透明電極を含む液晶セルと、該液晶セルを相互間に挟む第1及び第2の偏光層とを有し、前記一対の透明電極のうちの他方が、前記一方の透明電極よりも小さく、前記有効シャッター領域を規定する、請求項1記載の液晶シャッターめがね。
- めがねレンズと、前記液晶シャッターとを別体に形成したことを特徴とする、請求項1乃至3のいずれか1項に記載の液晶シャッターめがね。
- 前記液晶シャッターが、めがねレンズのフレームに支持されることを特徴とする、請求項1乃至4のいずれか1項に記載の液晶シャッターめがね。
- 前記液晶シャッターが、フレームに取り付けられ、観察者の視野角内に位置する使用位置と、観察者の視野角外に位置する不使用位置との間で回転可能であることを特徴とする、請求項1乃至4のいずれか1項に記載の液晶シャッターめがね。
- 前記液晶シャッターが、折りたたみ可能なフレームに支持されることを特徴とする、請求項1乃至4のいずれか1項に記載の液晶シャッターめがね。
- 前記液晶セルにおけるシール材の屈折率が、前記液晶セルを構成する基板の屈折率とほぼ等しいことを特徴とする、請求項1乃至6のいずれか1項に記載の液晶シャッターめがね。
- 前記第1及び第2の偏光層のうちの少なくとも一方が、前記液晶セルにおけるシール材を覆っていることを特徴とする、請求項2又は3に記載の液晶シャッターめがね。
