Claims (10)
- 正極と負極とを対向させた構造を有する電池要素と、
少なくとも熱融着性樹脂層と金属薄膜層とが積層され、前記熱融着性樹脂層を内側にして前記電池要素を包囲し、外周部が熱融着されることで前記電池要素を封止するラミネートフィルムとを有し、
前記ラミネートフィルムは、熱融着された前記外周部の内側の領域であって、少なくとも、前記ラミネートフィルムの熱融着時に前記熱融着性樹脂がその融点以上になり、かつ前記ラミネートフィルムの内部に封止された前記電池要素並びに該電池要素に接続されている正極リード及び負極リードの一部と接触する領域における前記熱融着性樹脂層に、架橋構造が形成されているフィルム外装電池。 - 前記正極および負極にはそれぞれリード端子が前記ラミネートフィルムの外部に延出させて接続されており、前記ラミネートフィルムの内部に封止された部材は、前記電池要素および前記リード端子の一部を含む、請求項1に記載のフィルム外装電池。
- 前記架橋構造は、前記ラミネートフィルムに電子線を照射することによって形成されている、請求項1に記載のフィルム外装電池。
- 前記熱融着性樹脂層は、ポリオレフィンを含む、請求項3に記載のフィルム外装電池。
- 前記熱融着性樹脂層は、電子線分解型の樹脂に電子線反応性化合物を付加したものである、請求項3に記載のフィルム外装電池。
- 前記電池要素は、化学電池要素またはキャパシタ要素である、請求項1に記載のフィルム外装電池。
- 正極と負極とを対向させた構造を有する電池要素を、少なくとも熱融着性樹脂層と金属薄膜層とが積層されたラミネートフィルムで包囲し、外周部を熱融着することで封止するフィルム外装電池の製造方法であって、
前記ラミネートフィルムの、熱融着される前記外周部の内側の領域であって、少なくとも、前記ラミネートフィルムの熱融着時に前記熱融着性樹脂層の温度がその融点以上になり、かつ封止される前記電池要素並びに該電池要素に接続されている正極リード及び負極リードの一部と接触する領域における前記熱融着性樹脂層に架橋構造を形成して該領域の耐熱性を向上させる工程と、
前記熱融着性樹脂層に架橋構造が形成されたラミネートフィルムで、前記熱融着樹脂層を内側として前記電池要素を包囲する工程と、
前記電池要素を包囲したラミネートフィルムの前記外周部を熱融着し、前記電池要素を封止する工程とを有するフィルム外装電池の製造方法。 - 前記ラミネートフィルムの外周部を熱融着する工程は、前記架橋構造を形成した領域の外周縁を含む領域を加圧および加熱することを含む請求項7に記載のフィルム外装電池の製造方法。
- 前記架橋構造を形成する工程は、
前記ラミネートフィルムの前記熱融着性樹脂層上の領域であって、架橋構造を形成しない領域をマスクする工程と、
前記マスクされたラミネートフィルムに電子線を照射する工程とを有する、請求項7に記載のフィルム外装電池の製造方法。 - 前記架橋構造を形成する工程に先立って、前記ラミネートフィルムに、前記電池要素を収納するための凹部を形成する工程を有する、請求項9に記載のフィルム外装電池の製造方法。
