・チェーン: ピッチ8mmのローラチェーン
・スプロケット歯数: 18枚×36枚
・回転速度: 7000r/min
・潤滑油: カーボンスーツを添加した潤滑油
・油量: 1L/min
なお、図3に示した発明品及び比較のために示した通常品、参考品のチェーン伸び試験の結果は、上記の条件で通常のモータリング試験機を用いてチェーン伸び試験を行った結果にのみ基づいている。しかしながら、上記の試験方法は、当業界で通常用いられている再現性の高い試験方法であるので、他の試験方法を行ったとしても、同じ傾向が示されると推認される。

Claims (3)
- 円筒状のブシュの両端がそれぞれ一対の内プレートのブシュ孔に圧入され、前記ブシュ内に遊貫されたピンの両端が前記一対の内プレートの両外側に配置された一対の外プレートのピン孔に圧入されている自動車エンジン用チェーンにおいて、
前記ピンの表面が炭化クロム層又は炭化バナジウム層により被覆されており、
前記ブシュが冷間鍛造により成形されたものであり、
前記ピンの表面粗さが、Rz:0.1〜0.3μmであり、前記ブシュの表面粗さが、Rz:0.4〜2.0μmであることを特徴とする自動車エンジン用チェーン。 - 前記炭化クロム層又は炭化バナジウム層が粉末パック法により形成されたものであることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の自動車エンジン用チェーン。
- 前記炭化クロム層又は炭化バナジウム層により被覆された前記ピンの表面粗さを、バレル研磨処理により、前記ブシュの表面粗さよりも小さくしたことを特徴とする請求項1又は請求項2に記載の自動車エンジン用チェーン。
