Description
このように変速操作装置内のインナーケーブルの長さや変速ケーブルの取付方向が制限されるため、変速操作装置の形状や構造に制約が生じ変速操作装置の設計の自由度が低い。
変速操作装置15は、ボーデン型変速ケーブル30のインナーケーブル30aを、内装変速ハブ18の変速段数に合わせて、複数段階(たとえば、低速位置と中速位置と高速位置との3段階)に引っ張ったり解放したりすることができるグリップ式のものである。
この変速操作装置15では、操作部材42を回すと巻取部材41が変速ケーブル30のインナーケーブル30aを巻取方向及び繰り出し方向に移動させて変速操作が行われる。具体的には、操作部材42を巻取方向(図6時計回り)に回動操作すると、操作部材42から中間部材63を介して巻取部材41が低速位置から中速位置又は高速位置に回動する。巻取部材41が回動すると、連結ケーブル44が巻取部材41に巻き取られるとともに、他端に固定されたケーブル連結部材45がケーブル導入部52内を図5上方にガイド部43に沿って移動し、ケーブル連結部材45に係止されたインナーケーブル30aが図5左方に引っ張られ移動する。これにより、インナーケーブル30aに連結された内装変速ハブ18が中速又は高速に変速動作する。このとき、ケーブル連結部材45がガイド部43に案内されているので、摩擦抵抗が小さくなり、ケーブル連結部材45の移動方向が変化しても変速操作をスムーズに行える。このため、変速ケーブルの取付方向の制限が緩和される。また、高速位置又は中速位置から低速位置側に向けて操作部材42を回動させると、内装変速ハブ18により引っ張られたインナーケーブル30aがケーブル連結部材45及び連結ケーブル44を図5右方に移動させてインナーケーブル30aが解放される。
(a)前記実施形態では、内装変速ハブ18を変速操作するグリップ式の変速操作装置15を例に本発明をしたが、本発明はこれに限定されずハンドルバーに装着される変速操作装置であればどのような形態や変速段数でもよい。たとえば、ディレーラを用いた外速変速装置又は内装変速装置を変速するグリップ又はレバー式の変速操作装置にも本発明を適用できる。

Claims (3)
- 自転車のハンドルバーに装着可能な本体部と、前記本体部から延び、ボーデン型変速ケーブルのアウターケーシングを係止可能なアウター係止部が設けられたケーブル導入部と、を有する取付部と、
前記取付部に回動可能に連結された巻取部材と、
前記巻取部材に連結されて前記巻取部材を回動操作する操作部材と、
前記ケーブル導入部内に設けられたガイド部と、
一端が前記巻取部材に連結された連結ケーブルと、
前記連結ケーブルの他端に連結され、前記変速ケーブルのインナーケーブルの先端を着脱可能に係止するインナー係止部を有し、前記巻取部材の回動に応じて前記ガイド部に沿って移動するケーブル連結部材と、を備え、
前記ガイド部は湾曲部を有し、前記ケーブル連結部材は前記湾曲部に沿って移動する、自転車用変速操作装置。 - 前記巻取部材は、前記ハンドルバーの軸回りに回動可能であり、
前記ケーブル導入部は、前記本体部から前記ハンドルバーと交差する方向に延びた後に前記ハンドルバーに沿った方向に曲がっている、請求項1に記載の自転車用変速操作装置。 - 前記ケーブル連結部材は、前記連結ケーブルの他端に固定されている、請求項1又は2に記載の自転車用変速操作装置。
