BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a steering knuckle stopper structure that regulates the maximum turning angle of a wheel.
[0002]
[Prior art]
Conventional steering knuckle stopper structures include those described in, for example, Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open Nos. 6-298114 and 2001-030941.
In the stopper structure described in the former, when the head of a stopper bolt (stopper member) attached to the knuckle arm abuts against the stopper receiving surface of the abutting portion provided on the suspension link during steering, The corner is regulated. And the said stopper receiving surface is set so that it may become a curved surface (circular arc shape along the up and down) always at right angles with respect to a stopper bolt also at the time of a bound and rebound.
[0003]
The stopper structure described in the latter regulates the maximum turning angle of the wheel by abutting the head of the stopper bolt provided on the suspension link against the stopper receiving surface of the abutting part provided on the knuckle arm. is there. Then, by setting the position of the head of the stopper bolt at or near the link axis of the suspension link and setting the reaction force from the stopper receiving surface to always pass through the link axis, the stopper bolt is applied. Oscillation around the link axis of the suspension link that occurs when contacting the contact portion is prevented.
[0004]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
In general, before the suspension link and the wheel interfere with each other as the vehicle is steered, the maximum cutting angle is set so that the tip of the stopper bolt comes into contact with the stopper receiving surface of the contact portion.
Here, in the conventional stopper structure, the suspension link is designed to be restrained from swinging as much as possible due to an impact at the time of controlling the turning angle. Therefore, the turning angle of the wheel is determined by the arrangement of the suspension link. In particular, when the wheel bounces, the wheel is pulled inward in the vehicle width direction, so that the clearance between the suspension link and the wheel becomes the strictest even at the same turning angle. Therefore, it is necessary to set the maximum turning angle of the wheel from the viewpoint of preventing interference between the suspension link and the wheel during the bounding.
[0005]
The present invention has been made paying attention to the above problems, and it is an object of the present invention to provide a steering knuckle stopper structure capable of expanding the clearance at the time of turning between the suspension link and the wheel at the time of bounding. Yes.

【The invention's effect】
First, the effect of the invention according to
Considering the case where the wheel bounces, the suspension link attached to each of the wheel side and the vehicle body side relatively strokes so that the wheel side end portion rotates about the vehicle body side end portion. Here, while the stopper member is provided at the intermediate portion between the vehicle body side end portion and the wheel side end portion of the suspension link, the stopper receiving surface is provided on the wheel side of the knuckle arm, so that the upward movement per unit stroke is increased. The amount of displacement of the stopper receiving surface disposed on the wheel side is larger than that of the stopper member provided at the intermediate portion of the suspension link.
[0011]
For this reason, if the wheel bounces while the tip of the stopper member is in contact with the stopper receiving surface by turning, the amount of upward movement per unit stroke is larger on the stopper receiving surface than on the stopper member. Along with the upward stroke of the suspension link, an upward pushing force is applied from the stopper receiving surface to the tip of the stopper member.
At this time, the distal end portion of the stopper member to which an external force is inputted upward protrudes toward the stopper receiving surface from the link axis of the suspension link in a plan view, so that the upper portion loaded on the distal end portion of the stopper member The pushing-up force toward the side acts as a moment for rotating the intermediate portion of the suspension link downward (in the direction in which the stopper member rotates upward) around the link axis.
[0012]
That is, according to the invention according to
In addition, when the vehicle bounces in the fully steered state, the tip end portion of the stopper member can be reliably pushed upward.

Further, by adopting the invention according to
[0015]
In the invention according to
In the invention according to claim 5, when the tip of the stopper member collides with the stopper receiving surface, the reaction force due to the elastic force of the elastic body acts as a restoring force on the steering wheel. As a result, the steering wheel after full steering is easily returned.
[0016]
Furthermore, the impact when the stopper member comes into contact with the stopper receiving surface is absorbed by the elastic body, and the generation of abnormal noise such as a hitting sound can be reduced.
