ナノ構造化された透明または半透明な本発明に係るガラスセラミックまたはガラスは、以下の式Iの組成物を、材料の総重量に対して重量で少なくとも97%、即ち97%〜100%含み、99%〜100%含むことが好ましい:

1.既述のプロセスに従って、本発明に係る透明または半透明なナノ構造化されたガラスを製造するステップ。
2.400℃〜800℃の温度範囲、より好ましくは600℃〜800℃で、15分間から48時間の範囲内の期間、より好ましくは15分間から6時間、最も好ましくは30分間から2時間のガラスの熱的結晶化処理。
最後に、本発明は、光学目的、特に、大きなタイプ(massive type)(例えばレンズまたはフィルター)、粉末、ファイバー(例えば光ファイバーまたはレーザーファイバー)、または層のための材料を製造するための本発明のガラスセラミックまたはガラスの使用に関する。
以下の実施例は本発明を非常に詳細に描写することが意図されるが、決して包括的ではない。特に、以下で描写される方法は実験室法であり、当業者は容易に工業スケールへと適合させることができる。
[ガラスの生産方法]
78.04GeO2−9.76ZnO−9.76Ga2O3−2.44Na2Oのモル組成のガラスを2g準備するために、以下の秤量作業を実行した:
1.4927gのGeO2、
0.1452gのZnO、
0.3344gのGa2O3、
0.0493gのNa2CO3。
既述の通り合成されたガラスが、後に管状炉内で熱的結晶化処理を経験し(615℃で3時間)、透明なナノ構造化されたガラスセラミックを生産する。
工業的な方法の場合、エネルギー消費の考慮事項を考慮するためにいくつかのステップが修正され得る。例えば、脱炭段階は加熱段階へと直接併合され得る(1ステップ)。この分野でありふれた従来の精製添加物もまた、ガラスの溶解を容易にし、気泡を除去するために添加され得る。他方、結晶化のアニールがガラスの冷却中に、例えば粉砕されたガラスを含むモールド内で直接行われ得る(モールドは615℃で炉内に3時間維持される)。

- Li2Oを本質的に含まない透明または半透明なナノ構造化されたガラスセラミックであって、材料の総重量に対して重量で少なくとも97%、即ち97%〜100%、好ましくは99%〜100%の以下の式Iの組成物を含むガラスセラミック:
(GeO2)x(SiO2)y(B2O3)z(Ga2O3)a(Oxy1)b(Oxy2)k (式I)
ここで、

- xが0であることを特徴とする、請求項1若しくは3に記載のガラスセラミックまたは請求項2もしくは3に記載のガラス。
- yが40〜60の範囲内、より好ましくは43〜55であることを特徴とする、請求項4に記載のガラスセラミックまたはガラス。
- yが0であることを特徴とする、請求項1若しくは3に記載のガラスセラミックまたは請求項2に記載のガラス。
- xが50〜98の範囲内、より好ましくは60〜98であることを特徴とする、請求項6に記載のガラスセラミックまたはガラス。
- zが0であることを特徴とする、請求項6または7に記載のガラスセラミックまたはガラス。
- x及びyが両方とも0以外であることを特徴とする、請求項1もしくは3に記載のガラスセラミックまたは請求項2もしくは3に記載のガラス。
- x及びyがそれぞれ独立に以下の範囲内であることを特徴とする、請求項9に記載のガラスセラミックまたはガラス:
xについて、10〜80、好ましくは30〜70、かつ
yについて、10〜60、好ましくは30〜60。 - x+yが50〜95の範囲内、より好ましくは60〜98、最も好ましくは80〜95であるようなx及びyであることを特徴とする、請求項9または10に記載のガラスセラミックまたはガラス。
- 単位質量当たり100%を達成するために、組成式(I)に加えてドーパントを含む、請求項1及び3から11のいずれか一項に記載のガラスセラミックまたは請求項2から11のいずれか一項に記載のガラス。
- 以下の連続ステップを含み:
1.900℃〜1700℃の範囲内の温度で、粉状で存在する最初の酸化物または適用可能であればその前駆体を融解するステップ、
2.冷却するステップ、
透明または半透明なナノ構造化されたガラスであって、前記ガラスの総重量に対して重量で少なくとも97%、即ち97%〜100%、好ましくは99%〜100%の以下の式Iの組成物を含むガラスを生産する、請求項2から12のいずれか一項に記載のナノ構造化されたガラスの製造方法:

- 医用画像用、照明用またはディスプレイ用の材料の製造のための請求項15に記載の使用。
- レーザーマーキング用の請求項2から12のいずれか一項に記載のガラスの使用。
