Abstract
Description
Claims (5)
- 光源と、当該光源が生成する光を集光する第1のレンズと、該第1のレンズを通過した光を集光する第2のレンズと、該第2のレンズを通過した光を光ファイバ上に集光する第3のレンズと、該光源、該第1のレンズ、該第2のレンズを搭載する筐体、を備える光モジュールの製造方法であって、
(A)該第1のレンズを、該第1のレンズの焦点に該光源が位置する様に配置する工程と、
(B)該第2のレンズを、該第2のレンズの該第1のレンズ側の焦点が該第1のレンズの他方の焦点に位置する様に配置する工程と、
(C)該第3のレンズと該光ファイバを模した治具を該筐体外面の所定箇所に配置する工程と、
(D)該第2のレンズを該第2のレンズの光軸上を移動して、該模した治具の光ファイバに入射する光の強度を所定の値に調整する、光モジュールの製造方法。 - 該工程(A)と該工程(B)は、該光の光軸を該筐体の外側にシフトさせる治具を用いて行う、請求項1に記載の光モジュールの製造方法。
- 該製造方法はさらに、該光源に対する該(D)の工程の後、
該筐体外面に配置された該治具に替えて該第3のレンズと該光ファイバを該筐体側面に配置する工程を含む、請求項1に記載の光モジュールの製造方法。 - 該光モジュールはさらに他の光を生成する他の光源、他の第1のレンズ、他の第2のレンズ、及び該他の光源が生成する光と該光源が生成する光を合波して該第3のレンズに出力する光合波器を該筐体内に備えており、
該(A)〜(D)の工程を該他の光源に対して該光源と独立に行う、請求項1又は2に記載の光モジュールの製造方法。 - 該製造方法はさらに、該光源に対する該(D)の工程の後、
該筐体外面に配置された該治具に替えて該第3のレンズと該光ファイバを該筐体側面に配置する工程と、
該光ファイバに入射する光の強度が最大となる位置に該第3のレンズと該光ファイバを配置する工程と、
該他の光源に対して該(A)、(B)を行う工程と、
該他の光源に対して該光ファイバに入射する該他の光の強度が所定の範囲になる様に該他の第2のレンズを該他の第2のレンズの光軸上をスライドする、
請求項4に記載の方法。
