Abstract
【解決手段】板面を互いに対向させた一対の板ガラス1,2の間に形成した空隙部4の周囲を密閉し空隙部4を減圧状態に保持する際に一対の板ガラス1,2の間に介装される間隔保持部材3であって、一対の板ガラス1,2に対して各別に当接する硬質部6と、硬質部6の間に配置され硬質部6よりも低硬度の軟質部7と、を備え、軟質部7が、板ガラス1,2の対向面1A、2Aに垂直な厚み方向への圧縮力に基づく変形よりも、対向面1A,2Aに沿う方向へのせん断力に基づく変形が生じ易い。

Description
このような構成であっても、間隔保持部材を真空複層ガラスに装着した後は、間隔保持部材に対して大気圧による圧縮力が常に作用するため、硬質部と軟質部との相対位置は適切に維持される。ただし、板ガラスどうしが面方向に沿って互いに反対方向に位置ずれする場合には、硬質部と軟質部とは面方向に沿って容易に相対移動することができる。例えば、一つの間隔保持部材が負担する板ガラスの面積が広く、一つの間隔保持部材に作用する荷重が大きい場合で、板ガラスの撓み変形による面方向の相対移動量が大きくなる場合等には、このように変形し易い間隔保持部材は好都合である。
図1に示すように、ガラスパネル10は、一対の板ガラス1、2の対向する対向面1A,2Aの間に、複数のスペーサ3(間隔保持部材の一例)を配置し、一方の対向面1Aと他方の対向面2Aとの間に空隙部4を形成する。空隙部4は一対の板ガラス1,2の周辺部で気密に維持される。一対の板ガラス1、2の対向面1A,2Aの周辺部に低融点ガラスや、鉛、スズ、インジウムなどを含む金属等の封止材5が融着配置され、一対の板ガラス1,2が気密に封止され、空隙部4内が減圧状態に維持される。複数のスペーサ3は、例えば円柱状に形成され、板ガラス1,2の間に配置される。
以下に他の実施形態を説明する。
〈1〉スペーサ3の形状は、円柱状の他、角柱状、リング状、線状、鎖状等でもよい。
〈2〉スペーサ3は、エッチング処理以外に、レーザー等の手段による切断やプレス加工による打ち抜きによって所定の寸法に加工してもよい。
図5に示すように、試験体(実施例1〜2、比較例1〜2)Aを測定用板ガラス11の上に載置し、試験体Aの上に測定用板ガラス12を載置した。測定用板ガラス12に重り13を載置して大気圧相当の圧力を付与した。この状態で測定用板ガラス12を面方向に沿って移動させ、各試験体Aの静止摩擦係数を測定した。
なお、測定用板ガラスは、厚み3mm、一辺10cmの略正方形状の板ガラスであり、エタノールで払拭処理したのち焼成したものである。

前記軟質部が、前記板ガラスの対向面に垂直な厚み方向への圧縮力に基づく変形よりも、前記対向面に沿う方向へのせん断力に基づく変形が生じ易いガラスパネル用間隔保持部材。 - 前記硬質部がステンレス鋼材で構成され、前記軟質部が前記対向面に沿う方向に圧延されたアルミニウム材で構成された請求項1に記載のガラスパネル用間隔保持部材。
- 前記硬質部と前記軟質部とが非接着状態で当接する請求項1また2に記載のガラスパネル用間隔保持部材。
- 前記硬質部と前記軟質部とが一体的に接合してある請求項1また2に記載のガラスパネル用間隔保持部材。
- 板面を互いに対向させた一対の板ガラスの間に形成した空隙部の周囲を密閉し当該空隙部を減圧状態に保持する際に前記一対の板ガラスの間に介装する間隔保持部材の製造方法であって、
硬質金属で構成された硬質部を軟質金属で構成された軟質部の両面側に配置する工程と、
前記硬質部及び前記軟質部をエッチング処理する工程と、
を備えるガラスパネル用間隔保持部材の製造方法。
