Abstract
【解決手段】アノード及びカソードが二次電池100の両端に各々連結しており、ゲート電流が提供されると二次電池100の両端を短絡させるサイリスタ又はトランジスタ106と、二次電池100の温度を感知し、感知された温度が所定の温度以上であると、ゲート電流をサイリスタ又はトランジスタに供給する温度センサー104とを含む。外部環境の変化、外部の衝撃及び内部の欠陥により二次電池100が発熱したり、過充電等により二次電池100の温度が上昇した場合、二次電池100を放電させて安全な状態になるようにする。

Description
本発明は、リチウムイオン二次電池に二次電池の保護装置を並列に連結し、前記リチウムイオン二次電池が発熱したり高温環境に露出される場合、前記リチウムイオン二次電池を強制放電させることで、前記リチウムイオン二次電池の電解液を安定化させて発火や爆発等を予防できる。
Claims (5)
- 二次電池の保護装置であって、
アノード及びカソードが二次電池の両端に各々連結しており、ゲート電流が提供されると前記二次電池の陽極を短絡させるサイリスタと、
前記二次電池の温度を感知し、前記感知された温度が所定の温度以上であると、前記ゲート電流を前記サイリスタに供給する温度センサーとを含むことを特徴とする、二次電池の保護装置。 - 前記温度センサーは、NTCサーミスタ又はMITサーミスタであることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の二次電池の保護装置。
- 前記サイリスタは、SCR、N型サイリスタ、デュアルゲートサイリスタ、双方向サイリスタ及びGTOサイリスタの何れか一つであることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の二次電池の保護装置。
- 前記温度センサーは、一端が前記二次電池の陽極に連結しており、他端が前記サイリスタのゲート端子に連結しているサーミスタであることを特徴とする、請求項3に記載の二次電池の保護装置。
- 請求項1ないし請求項4の何れか1項の二次電池の保護装置を含むことを特徴とする、二次電池。
