Description

The present invention relates to a trimming method for trimming an excess film on the outer periphery of a product part after sticking a decorative film of a decorative film formed by vacuum / pressure forming, and an apparatus for carrying out the method.

For example, the film decorative molded product is a decorative film that extends from the surface of a molded product (hereinafter also referred to as a resin base material) placed on a receiving jig by a vacuum / pressure forming method to the receiving jig mounting table. It is obtained by trimming the surplus part of the outer periphery of the product part of the decorative film that is adhered and then adhered. As a trimming method, in Patent Document 1, after attaching a decorative film, a primary trimming process is performed to roughly cut off an excess film in the apparatus, and then a molded product on which the decorative film is attached together with a cradle. A method of performing a secondary trimming process of transferring to a tool rest outside the apparatus and further cutting off the lower end of the decorative film with a Thomson blade on the tool rest is proposed.

However, the above-described conventional technique requires two steps for trimming the surplus film, which not only significantly reduces the work efficiency but also increases the cost. Moreover, secondary trimming with a Thomson blade is difficult with a resin base material having a three-dimensional end face, and further improvement has been desired.

The present invention has been made in view of such circumstances, and its object is to perform film decorative molding that trims an excess film protruding from a molded product accurately and efficiently along the edge of the molded product. An object is to provide a method for trimming excess film and a device for carrying out the method.

In order to achieve the above-described object, the surplus film trimming method of the film decorative molded product of the present invention is a method in which a decorative film is attached to the surface of a resin substrate placed on a receiving jig by vacuum / pressure forming. A surplus film trimming method for a film decorative molded product that trims an excess part on the outer periphery of a product part of a decorative film, wherein the resin base is a molded product whose outer peripheral edge is bent downward and the back side is a concave shape. The receiving jig includes a heating wire laid over the entire circumference of the boundary in the vicinity of the boundary between the receiving part on which the resin base material is placed and the base part continuing to the receiving part. The attached decorative film is fused along the lower end portion of the outer peripheral edge of the resin base material by energizing the heating wire.

In the surplus film trimming method of the film decorative molded product of the present invention, it is desirable that the heating wire is laid at a distance of 2 to 5 times the thickness of the decorative film from the lower end portion of the outer peripheral edge. At this time, the diameter of the heating wire is preferably 2 to 5 times the thickness of the decorative film.

In the surplus film trimming method of the film decorative molded product of the present invention, the receiving jig may have a step portion over the entire circumference of the boundary portion, and a heating wire may be laid on the step portion.

The surplus film trimming device for a film decorative molded product according to the present invention has a decorative film attached to the surface of a resin substrate placed on a receiving jig by vacuum / pressure forming, and the outer periphery of the product portion of the decorative film is A surplus film trimming device for film decorative molded products for trimming surplus portions, wherein the resin base is a molded member whose outer peripheral edge is bent downward and the back side is concave, and the receiving jig is a resin A heating wire provided over the entire circumference of the boundary is provided near the boundary between the receiving part on which the substrate is placed and the base part continuous to the receiving part. The attached decorative film is configured to be melted along the lower end portion of the outer peripheral edge of the resin base material.

According to the surplus film trimming method of the film decorative molded product of the present invention, the surplus film on the outer periphery of the product portion is simply applied to the lower end portion of the outer periphery of the resin substrate simply by energizing the heating wire disposed in the receiving jig. Can be fused accurately along. And trimming is complete | finished only by taking out the film decoration molded product and the melted excess film from a vacuum pressure forming apparatus. Therefore, the cutting work efficiency is remarkably high as compared with the conventional technique in which the worker cuts the surplus film with the cutter. In addition, since the lead time is shortened by reducing the number of processes, the cost can be greatly reduced.

Moreover, since the surplus film can be accurately fused along the lower end portion of the outer peripheral edge of the resin base material, the appearance of the trimming portion is good.

Further, if a plurality of receiving jigs on which a resin base material is placed is arranged in a vacuum / pressure forming apparatus, an excess film can be trimmed simultaneously for a plurality of film decorative molded products. Therefore, the processing cost can be further reduced.

A preferred embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to FIGS. FIG. 1 is a schematic cross-sectional view showing an outline of a vacuum / pressure forming apparatus 10 according to this embodiment. As is well known, the vacuum / pneumatic forming apparatus 10 includes a box-shaped lower chin bar 11 having an open upper end and a box-shaped upper chamber 12 having an open lower end.

The lower chamber 11 is fixed, and is provided with a receiving jig set base 13 so as to be movable up and down. As is well known, the lifting and lowering means of the receiving jig set base 13 is provided with a hydraulic cylinder 16 below the lower chamber 11, and the piston rod 16 a is hermetically sealed via a sealing material at the center of the lower surface of the lower chamber 11. The table 17 is fixed to the upper end of the piston rod 16a, and the receiving jig set base 13 is installed at the center of the table 17.

On the other hand, the upper chamber 12 can be moved up and down by a hydraulic cylinder 15 connected to the upper surface, and a plurality of heaters 14 including infrared heaters are disposed in the upper portion. The vacuum / pneumatic molding apparatus 10 is configured to be openable and closable by bringing the open ends of the upper and lower chambers 11 and 12 into contact with or away from each other.

A vacuum tank 18 and a pressurized air tank 19 are provided outside the upper and lower chambers 11 and 12. The vacuum tank 18 communicates with the upper and lower chambers 11 and 12 through pipes 20 and 21. In addition, a switching valve 22 is provided in the pipe 20 communicating with the upper chamber 12 side, and the pressurized air tank 19 and the switching valve 22 are communicated with each other by a pressurized air supply pipe 23.

A receiving jig 30 for placing the resin base material A is disposed on the receiving jig set base 13. In this embodiment, the resin base material A is a molded product made of a synthetic resin material such as an ABS resin or a polycarbonate resin such as an interior / exterior part of an automobile, and the outer peripheral edge A1 is bent downward. This is a three-dimensional molded product having a concave shape on the side. A heating wire 40 is laid on the receiving jig 30.

An example of the receiving jig 30 is shown in a perspective view in FIG. 2, and FIG. 3 shows a cross-sectional view of the receiving jig 30 on which the resin base material A is placed and the decorative film B is attached. The receiving jig 30 is made of a resin having excellent heat resistance and insulation, such as PTFE (Teflon (registered trademark)) and epoxy resin, and a receiving portion 31 that can be in close contact with the inner peripheral surface of the back surface A2 of the resin substrate A. The base part 32 having a substantially rectangular parallelepiped shape that is continuous with the receiving part 31. In the vicinity of the boundary 33 between the receiving part 31 and the base part 32, the heating wire 40 is laid over the entire circumference of the boundary 33. The boundary 33 is a peripheral wall along the lower end A12 of the outer peripheral edge A1 when the resin base material A is placed on the receiving part 31, and the heating wire 40 is formed on the peripheral wall at a predetermined distance a from the boundary 33. It is arranged so as to be half buried in the groove 34 having a semicircular cross section. The heating wire 40 is fixed to the groove 34 by fixing means 42 described later.

The predetermined distance a is preferably about 2 to 5 times the thickness of the decorative film B and about 2 to 5 times the diameter of the heating wire 40. For example, when the thickness of the decorative film B is 0.2 to 0.5 mm, the heating wire 40 having a diameter of 0.4 to 2.5 mm is separated from the boundary 33 by about 0.5 to 1.0 mm. It is good to arrange. By setting the diameter of the heating wire and the predetermined distance a in this way, the decorative film B is reliably adhered to the end surface A14 of the resin base material A, and from the end A12 of the decorative film B It is possible to obtain a good-looking film-decorated molded product S having a protruding portion of less than 1.0 mm. The heating wire 40 is preferably a well-known nichrome wire, but a heater wire or a sheathed heater may be used.

FIG. 4 is an enlarged cross-sectional view showing a fixing means 42 for fixing the heating wire 40 to the groove 34. In the present embodiment, the fixing means 42 is provided on the rear surface side of the side wall 32a, the fixing hole 35 penetrating the side wall 32a of the base portion 32 formed at appropriate intervals in the groove 34, the wire 44 holding the heating wire 40, and the like. It consists of a rod-like insulator 46 that locks the wire 44. Here, in order to fix the heating wire 40 to the side wall 32a by the fixing means 42, first, the wire 44 is bent at the central portion, and the heating wire 40 is held between the bent portions. Next, both ends of the wire 44 are inserted into the fixing hole 35 and wound around the insulator 46 on the back surface of the side wall 32a. Thereafter, both ends of the wire 44 are twisted to form a knot (or weld) 48. In this manner, the heating wire 40 can be pulled and fixed to the side wall 32a. The wire 44 is preferably made of the same material as the stainless steel or the heating wire 40 that does not change even at high temperatures, and the wire diameter is preferably narrower than that of the heating wire 40. The insulator 46 can be made of the same material as the receiving jig 30, such as PTFE, epoxy resin, or ceramic.

Further, as shown in FIG. 5, a stepped portion 36 may be formed on the entire circumference of the boundary portion 33 between the receiving mold portion 31 and the side wall portion 32, and the heating wire 40 may be disposed on the stepped portion 36. .

FIG. 5 is a partial cross-sectional view schematically showing an enlarged view of a portion surrounded by a circle C in FIG. The step surface 36a of the step portion 36 is formed flush with the end surface A14 so as to be continuous with the end surface A14 of the resin base material A. Here, the heating wire 40 is laid so as to be partially embedded in the groove portion 34 formed on the step surface 36a at a predetermined distance a from the step portion outer periphery 36b.

Thus, by providing the level | step-difference part 36 and laying the heating wire 40 in the level | step difference surface 36a, the edge part B1 of the decoration film B after sticking is the decoration molded product S in the end surface A14 of the decoration molded product S. Therefore, it is possible to obtain a film-decorated molded product S having a better appearance.

Next, after the decorative film B is attached to the surface of the resin base material 20 by the vacuum / pressure forming apparatus 10 configured as described above, an excess portion on the outer periphery of the product portion of the attached decorative film B is trimmed. A trimming method will be described. In addition, as the decorative film B stuck on the surface of this resin base material A, for example, an acrylic film or urethane film is used after appropriate printing, painting, or metal vapor deposition. Note that an adhesive that adheres to the resin base material is applied to the back surface of the decorative film B.

First, a method of sticking the decorative film B on the surface of the molded product A by the vacuum / pressure forming apparatus 10 will be briefly described. As shown in FIG. 1, the upper chamber 12 is moved upward to open the upper end opening of the lower chamber 11, and the receiving jig set base 13 is raised to the upper end opening of the lower chamber 11. 13 is provided with a receiving jig 30, and the resin base material A is placed on the receiving part 31 of the receiving jig 30.

Next, the table 17 to which the receiving jig set base 13 is fixed is moved downward so that the resin base material A and the receiving jig 30 are accommodated in the lower chamber 11, and at the open end of the lower chamber 11. The decorative film B is stretched and the peripheral edge thereof is sandwiched and fixed by a clamp 24 provided at the lip of the lower chamber 11.

Next, the upper and lower chambers 11 and 12 are sealed by moving the upper chamber 12 downward and bringing the open ends of the upper and lower chambers 11 and 12 into contact with each other. Then, the inside of the upper and lower chambers 11 and 12 is evacuated through the pipes 20 and 21 by the vacuum tank 18. Subsequently, the decorative film B stretched in a state where the heater 14 is heated to partition the upper and lower chambers 11 and 12 is heated and softened.

Then, the upper surface of the resin base material A placed on the receiving jig 30 on the setting table 13 is decorated with the decorative film B by operating the hydraulic cylinder 16 to raise the receiving jig setting table 13. The decorative film B is brought into close contact with the upper surface A3 of the resin base material A by pressing against the center of the lower surface of the resin substrate A.

In this state, the switching valve 22 is switched to connect the pipe 20 on the upper chamber 12 side to the pressurized air supply pipe 23 side, so that air flows from the pressurized air tank 19 into the upper chamber 12. Then, since the lower side of the decorative film B maintains a vacuum state, the decorative film B is lower than the lower end surface from the surface of the outer peripheral edge A1 of the resin base A by air pressure as shown in FIGS. A14 is in close contact with the boundary portion 33 (or stepped portion 36) of the receiving jig 30 adjacent to the lower end surface A14 and the outer peripheral surface of the base portion 32.

After the decorative film B is applied from the resin base A to the lower end of the receiving jig 30 as described above, the upper and lower chambers 11 and 12 are opened to the atmosphere, and then the upper chamber 12 is moved up. The upper and lower chambers 11 and 12 are opened.

In this state, the heating wire 40 laid on the receiving jig 30 is energized. Since the tensile stress remains in the decorative film B after sticking, the lower end of the resin substrate A on which the heating wire 40 is laid is applied to the heating wire 40 to heat it. It can be melted accurately and easily over the entire circumference in the vicinity of the portion. After fusing the decorative film B in this manner, the film decorative molded product S and the surplus film B2 (FIG. 3) are taken out from the vacuum / pressure forming apparatus 10 to complete one cycle of the molding process. The film decorative molded product S obtained in this way has the decorative film B adhered cleanly from the surface (upper surface) A3 of the resin substrate A to the lower end surface A14 of the outer peripheral edge A1, and from the lower end surface A14. Since the length of the excess film that protrudes can be suppressed to less than 1 mm, a good-looking appearance can be exhibited. In particular, when the heating wire 40 is embedded in the stepped portion 36, the tip of the surplus film B1 (FIG. 5) protruding from the lower end surface A14 is directed to the inner peripheral side of the film decorative molded product S. A good-looking film-decorated molded product S can be obtained.

Further, if a plurality of receiving jigs on which a resin base material is placed is arranged in a vacuum / pressure forming apparatus, an excess film can be trimmed simultaneously for a plurality of film decorative molded products.

The surplus film trimming method for a film decorative molded product of the present invention can be suitably used for a film decorative molded product as an interior member of a vehicle.
