Abstract
【解決手段】スイッチング装置1は、IGBT10と、短絡電流制限回路12とを備えている。短絡電流制限回路12は、負荷L1が短絡し、IGBT10のコレクタ電流が短絡検出閾値を超えるとコレクタ電流を制限する。そして、コレクタ電流が短絡検出閾値を超えた後、短絡検出閾値より小さい電流制限解除閾値以下になるまでコレクタ電流を制限する。これにより、コレクタ電流が短絡検出閾値を超えた後に短絡検出閾値以下になっても、電流制限解除閾値以下にならなければコレクタ電流の制限が解除されない。そのため、負荷短絡時の保護動作において、IGBT10に流れるコレクタ電流の制限と制限解除の繰り返しを抑えることができる。

Claims (5)
- スイッチング素子と、
前記スイッチング素子に流れる電流が短絡検出閾値を超えると、前記スイッチング素子に流れる電流を制限する電流制限手段と、
を備えたスイッチング装置において、
前記電流制限手段は、前記スイッチング素子に流れる電流が前記短絡検出閾値を超えた後、前記短絡検出閾値より小さい電流制限解除閾値以下になるまで、前記スイッチング素子に流れる電流を制限することを特徴とするスイッチング装置。 - 前記スイッチング素子に流れる電流が前記短絡検出閾値より小さい過電流検出閾値を超える、過電流状態が所定時間継続すると前記スイッチング素子をオフする過電流保護手段を有し、
前記電流制限解除閾値は、前記過電流検出閾値であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のスイッチング装置。 - 前記電流制限手段は、前記スイッチング素子に流れる電流を、前記電流制限解除閾値より大きく、かつ、前記短絡検出閾値より小さい所定値に制限することを特徴とする請求項1又は2に記載のスイッチング装置。
- 前記電流制限手段は、前記スイッチング素子の制御電圧を固定して前記スイッチング素子に流れる電流を制限することを特徴とする請求項3に記載のスイッチング装置。
- 車両に搭載され、電力を変換する電力変換装置に用いられることを特徴とする請求項1〜4のいずれか1項に記載のスイッチング装置。
