Abstract
【解決手段】表示装置は、ゲート駆動部と、データ駆動部と、表示パネルと、電源供給部と、共通電圧ラインと、を含む。ゲート駆動部は、ゲート電圧を出力し、データ駆動部は、データ電圧を出力する。表示パネルは、ゲート電圧とデータ電圧に応答して画像を表示する表示領域と表示領域を囲む周辺領域に区分される。電源供給部は、共通電圧を生成して表示パネルに供給する。共通電圧ラインは、表示領域を囲むように周辺領域に配置される。共通電圧ラインは、電源供給部に隣接する両端部を含む。両端部のうち、ゲート駆動部から相対的に遠い距離にある一端部が共通電圧の供給を受けるために電源供給部に接続される。従って、電源供給部から共通電圧が印加されるまでの共通電圧ラインの長さによって、異なる共通電圧が印加される。

Claims (10)
- ゲート信号を出力するゲート駆動部と、
データ信号を出力するデータ駆動部と、
前記ゲート信号と前記データ信号とに応答して画像を表示する表示領域と、前記表示領域を囲む周辺領域とに区分され、前記周辺領域は前記表示領域の上に配置された第1周辺領域と前記表示領域の下に配置される第2周辺領域とを含む表示パネルと、
共通電圧を生成して前記表示パネルに供給する電源供給部と、
前記表示領域を囲むように前記周辺領域に配置され、前記電源供給部に隣接する両端部を有し、両端部のうち、他端部より前記ゲート駆動部から遠い距離に配置された一端部が前記共通電圧の供給を受けるために前記電源供給部に接続される共通電圧ラインと、を含むことを特徴とする表示装置。 - 前記ゲート駆動部と前記電源供給部とは、前記表示パネルの4側面のうち、隣接した異なる2側面に各々形成されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の表示装置。
- 前記ゲート駆動部は、前記周辺領域に形成されるアモルファスシリコントランジスタを含むことを特徴とする請求項2に記載の表示装置。
- 前記表示パネルは、
前記ゲート駆動部と前記データ駆動部とが各々接続される第1基板と、
前記第1基板と結合する第2の基板と、
前記第1基板と前記第2の基板の間に介在される液晶層と、を含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の表示装置。 - 前記表示パネルは、
前記共通電圧ラインと、前記共通電極との間に介在されるスペーサーと、を含むことを特徴とする請求項4に記載の表示装置。 - 前記スペーサーは、前記共通電圧ラインと重なるように配置されて前記共通電極と接続されることを特徴とする請求項5に記載の表示装置。
- 画像を表示する表示領域と、前記表示領域を囲む周辺領域とを含む表示パネルと、
共通電圧を生成して、前記表示パネルに前記共通電圧を供給する電源供給部と、を含み、
前記表示パネルは、
第1基板と、
前記第1基板と対向する第2の基板と、
前記第1基板と前記第2の基板との間に介在される液晶層と、
前記表示領域を囲むように前記周辺領域に配置され、電源供給部に隣接する二つの端部を含み、前記二つの端部のうち、他端部より前記ゲート駆動部から遠い距離に配置された一端部が前記共通電圧の供給を受けるために前記電源供給部に接続される共通電圧ラインと、
前記第1基板と前記第2の基板との間に介在されて、前記共通電圧ラインと重なる少なくとも一つのスペーサーと、を含むことを特徴とする表示装置。 - 前記周辺領域に配置され、フィードバック共通電圧を供給するフィードバックラインと、
前記フィードバック共通電圧に基づいて補償信号を生成する共通電圧補償部と、をさらに含み、
前記電源供給部は、前記補償信号に基づいて補償共通電圧を生成し、前記共通電圧ラインに前記補償共通電圧を供給することを特徴とする請求項7に記載の表示装置。 - 前記ゲート駆動部は、前記表示領域の第1側に隣接した前記周辺領域の第1領域に配置され、前記表示パネルにゲート信号を供給し、
前記共通電圧ラインは、最初に前記表示領域の第2側に隣接した前記周辺領域の第2領域で前記電源供給部から補償共通電圧の供給を受け、
前記フィードバックラインは、前記第2領域に配置されることを特徴とする請求項8に記載の表示装置。 - 前記共通電圧ラインは、周辺領域の第2領域、第3領域、及び第1領域を連続的に通過して配置され、
前記第3領域は、前記表示領域の第3側に隣接し、前記第1領域と前記第3領域は、互いに対向することを特徴とする請求項9に記載の表示装置。
